The first poem was “Looking for the Buckhead Boys” by James Dickey. I began to read out loud, and soon could smell the drug store air of Wender & Roberts. The author bought 50¢ worth of gas at a Gulf station. Today, 50¢ might buy a tablespoon of gas. Link in comments

I was listening to Iggy Pop, while looking for the grave of a Confederate soldier. “The MC5 were gonna go to Chicago to play. It was the Republican or Democratic Convention. They wanted the Stooges to come and do it. I said no, that’s not me.” Link in comments

After Breonna Taylor died, Jamarcus Glover had a series of telephone calls with Kiera Bradley, the mother of his daughter. In 2023, Bradley’s 13 year old daughter had a fatal overdose, at the apartment that Bradley and Glover shared. Link in comments @TheOfficerTatum
