‼️ Colton Herta is still one point away from the 40 points needed to acquire a superlicence to race in F1.
The Race understands this is due to an error on IndyCar's website which has now been corrected earlier this week - which means Herta erroneously gained points for finishing 6th in IndyCar last year, when he actually finished 7th.
And it’s such a joke. How can you seriously watch F1 and Indycar knowing how lowly they perceive Indycar as?

A super rare Ayrton Senna Williams will be put up for auction by @rmsothebys in New York next month.
The 1994 FW16B – chassis number 01 – is one of only two FW16 cars from that season driven by three world champions - Senna, Damon Hill and Nigel Mansell.
Chassis 01 was used by Senna and Hill in testing and in the warm-up at the 1994 Brazilian GP, before being brought into racing action later in the year. David Coulthard used it for his F1 debut.
The car was given to the Senna family at the end of 1994 as part of an original deal in Senna’s contract to receive a chassis if the squad won the constructors’ championship.
While under ownership of the Senna family from 1994 until 2024 it remained at the Williams factory before being acquired by a private owner on behalf of RM Sotheby’s, which is now offering it for sale. #F1 #senna
The move to go to Spain is less, to me, about Spain or Barcelona. Its the fact that Indycar has realized F1 is not its friend and rather a competitor going after its commercial resources. So it’s time to compete domestically and internationally. That’s what this signals. And it’s been long needed. The second thing is an indication of overall series health. There is enough interest for promoters to pick up the tab to ensure logistics are taken care of for the series participants.
With a contract that runs through 2036, the Circuit de Barcelona-Catalunya and Penske Entertainment have made a significant statement regarding their intent for the IndyCar Series to make Spain a staple on its annual schedule. racer.com/2026/10/30/indycar…

Swift and Carl Haas announce a 1997 Indy car, designed by David Bruns. Newman/Haas will help develop it, with Haas handling worldwide distribution.
According to Haas and Swift, the first chassis is targeted for completion in December, 1996 with the goal of commencing testing for the 1997 season prior to January 1.

1996 Relived - Michel Jourdain Jr. prepares for his CART debut.
After racing at Phoenix in the IRL, 19-year-old Jourdain was entered at Long Beach in Scandia’s No. 22 Lola-Ford, previously driven that season by Carlos Guerrero. Richie Hearn was also entered who had raced in the previous 2 IRL races.
1996 Relived - Walker Racing and Galles Racing announced their plan to contest both May 26 races (Us 500 and Indy)
Walker would send Mike Groff to Indianapolis, while Galles would field Davy Jones.
Their CART drivers, Robby Gordon and Eddie Lawson, respectively, would race in the U.S. 500.
1996 relived - CART announced it had served a complaint seeking confirmation of its right to use the IndyCar name and logo after IMS attempted to terminate that right. A major escalation of the split, beyond the competing races.
