Today’s budget looks like being worse for our future and the young than even anything Starmer came up with. A budget based on approval of mass new oil drilling is a betrayal of our future.
EXCL: The giant Rosebank oilfield can be approved without breaching the UK’s emission targets, according to government insiders, in a boost to those in the cabinet who are pushing for it to be given the go-ahead. Sources also say the Treasury has already accounted for billions of pounds’ worth of tax revenue from Rosebank and so would be faced with a shortfall should it be rejected. 6pm Trafalgar Square - tonight! 👇🏽
Tonight - join @ZackPolanski and @jeremycorbyn to march against austerity. The political class concedes nothing if you don't fight for it. Let's build a movement for an alternative to misery and decline.

Labour are really shooting themselves in the foot with this nonsense. Some of us on the left who may have given Labour another chance under Burnham now know the party hasn’t changed at all. Same old bullshit attacking the left, siding with USA and Israel, upholding colonialism

Labour Friends of Israel are a secretive and pernicious pro-Zionist, pro-genocidal party-within-a-party that refuses to publish a membership list or say where its funding comes from

Labour are really showing themselves up. They're comparing those of us demanding an end to the genocide with Reform and Tommy Robinson. Keir Starmer may have gone - but his politics and our Governments commitment to arms licences very much remain. 👇🏽
“We have to call out bad behaviour wherever it exists.” @Len_Duvall challenges the Greens’ ‘Zionism is racism’ motion, Reform’s attack on Sagal Abdi-Wali and Susan Hall speaking at a rally with Tommy Robinson, while acknowledging where Labour’s has faced up to its failures too.

I'm the only Jewish leader of a political party. I'm a victim of Antisemitism every day and I've made it clear Jewish people are welcome in my party. You're a Prime Minister who arms a genocide and locks pensioners up for opposing it.
Andy Burnham rules out any partnership between Labour and the Green Party due to their controversial motion declaring "Zionism is racism". 🔗 trib.al/c05KDDg

This is it. The final hours to vote. Greens got 10% here last time. And now we're genuinely on the cusp of winning it. Vote Green in Holborn & St Pancras! 💚

It was an honour and a privilege to be welcomed to Crossroads Women's Centre in Kentish Town and meet with women who have been fighting for change for so many years. The work women do is too often ignored and devalued - I gave my promise that as MP here I'll stand with them.

My thoughts are with the Prime Minister and his family as he grieves the loss of his father. There are moments in life such as this sad time that transcend politics and I join the whole country in sending condolences.

Labour has delayed its plans to allow new North Sea drilling until after the Holborn and St Pancras byelection. A Green win on 8th October will add pressure on Labour to reverse this shortsighted and dangerous plan. theguardian.com/politics/202…

If you were lobbying for the water industry a few months ago, you shouldn’t now be helping decide the future of the water industry. It’s really not complicated. The public deserves to know whose interests come first.

For reference: James Purnell was from 2024 CEO of Flint, a British international advisory business, and lobbying firm "whose clients include arms manufacturers, tech giants and big oil companies.” en.wikipedia.org/wiki/James_… And now he's PM's Chief of Staff. We shd all be worried.

I have written to the Cabinet Secretary to seek assurances that the Prime Minister’s Chief of Staff, who was lobbying for the privatised water industry until recently, has had no involvement in talks about the future of Thames Water.
