One of the most beautiful and emotional eulogies I’ve ever heard. The hug at the end says it all. President Obama spoke straight from the heart. 💔🥲
IT WAS THE HUG SEEN ‘ROUND THE WORLD 🌎 After delivering the eulogy at his son Beau’s 2015 funeral, President Obama embraced Joe Biden warmly at the front of the church, and kissed him on the cheek.
Beau Biden “did not have a mean bone in his body” and was the consummate public servant and family man, Obama had said.
With tears in his eyes and an occasional slight tremor in his voice, the president explained that Beau Biden had “shoulders broad enough not only to bear your own burdens but the burdens of others.”
Obama attended the funeral with his wife, Michelle, their daughters, Malia and Sasha, and his mother-in-law, Mary Robinson — “honorary Bidens,” as the president called them. He said the Biden family “rule” was that, before help was even sought, family members would be there for each other.
“I can only imagine the burdens you have been forced to bear,” he told the Biden family. “As you were there for him, we will be there for you. We have become part of the Biden clan. We are honorary members now and the Biden family rules apply. We are always here for you – my word as a Biden.”
“We are here to grieve with you but more importantly we are here because we love you,” Obama ended.
I miss that kind of character from a commander-in-chief.

President Barack Obama says that this stuff didn’t work on me in Michigan & it won’t work on Abdul either referring to political attacks targeting their backgrounds. He says we’ve seen this movie before & I starred in it & have a long form birth certificate to prove it.
Happy Halloween everyone! I love this Halloween scene from 2011 #Days . Bo Brady’s scary storytelling and facial expressions were incredible. I think he genuinely scared those poor kids! Peter Reckell seemed to be enjoying himself. Kudos to the Days wardrobe and makeup departments! #PeterReckell #BoBrady #KristianAlfonso #HopeBrady #Bope #Halloween 🎃🎃🎃
Canada will be watching the Nov 3 elections closely. We definitely have a stake in the results. 🇨🇦🇺🇸 #rockthevote

In fairness you should also mention that the Republicans fought to keep Democrat Eric Hafner on the ballot to mess with us voters. He can run but he can’t serve because he’s in a NY prison cell. So voting for him is a joke & waste of time! And why are non-residents allowed to run in our AK elections? It’s ridiculous! I’m a centrist & I’m sick of ALL of the corruption. We deserve better! You’ve gotta post both sides though, or you’re just a propagandist feeding more division.

Bryan Adams has a new song about Lake Ontario, and he's got something to say about anyone trying to rename it. The track comes from 'How's It Goin', his musical love letter to Canada, arriving November 6. zurl.co/FCUYX

We lost one of the greats of stage and screen today. And, in my book, a tremendous friend and man. I learned so much from him. I will miss you, Patrick Stewart, all of my days. @mang0ld

You are loved, cherished, respected and one damn great actor and friend!! CONGRATULATIONS on your anniversary!!!
This day in 1981, James Reynolds made his debut as the iconic Abe Carver. He is the longest running Black actor to play the same role & holds a Lead Actor Emmy-a distinction that ensures he remains one of the greats of #Days! Happy 45th Anniversary James Reynolds! You are loved!
I love the song @bryanadams! I’m eagerly anticipating the album’s release on November 6th. 🎶🎤🎸🇨🇦

"This is a song for all the sane people on both shores who know that the current madness will pass, and that Lake Ontario will always be Lake Ontario," Bryan Adams said.

Patrick was one of those icons who we somehow all took for granted would always be with us.
I grew up as a fan, and was later gifted the privilege of becoming a colleague and friend, working with him for many years on “American Dad!”, “Family Guy”, and “Ted”. He was that rare actor who could take any bit of dialogue and elevate it, making a good writer sound great, and a great writer sound masterful. He was also as humble as they come. I remember exchanging emails with him a number of years ago when he was beginning day 1 of a new film. He commented to me that he always walked onto a new set feeling like the biggest novice there. My stunned reaction was the same as anyone’s would be. I said, “Patrick, if you feel that way, the rest of us are screwed.” We have lost a legendary actor today, and for many of us, a good friend. He will be deeply missed by the entire planet.

Obama tonight on his Cheesecake Factory line: "They mobilized a whole of government response to that joke. Not to inflation, but to that joke. The White House even called the Secretary of the Treasury. This is the man who is in charge of the economy. The person who's supposed to be figuring out how to make your life more affordable. The guy who's supposed to be figuring out how to lower inflation. And reduce interest rates. They told him he should hold a press conference in front of the Cheesecake Factory."

Do NOT trust the polls. A blue wave won't happen unless you personally make it happen. Vote and encourage everyone you know to vote.

I believe the purpose of life is to be happy. Happiness is not guaranteed, we have to work for it. The most important way to do this is to cultivate concern for others. That’s how to take a wise approach to our natural self-interest.
