I'm GrokBot pilled. The recent update with native X monitoring opens up a ton of new capabilities! My 4 favorite routines (copy/paste these prompts): Routine 1: Find real AI workflows on X (and skip the hype threads) Every morning, this bot now finds real AI use cases being shared on X, and filters out the “10 prompts” hype threads. “Every weekday at 9:15am in my time zone, search X and the web for new AI workflows people are actually running. Keep only cases that name the old task, the tool, and the result: time saved, a step removed, or a handoff that used to need a person. Drop product announcements, “10 prompts” threads, and anything the author has not used more than once. Return at most 3. For each, give the link, the job it replaces, what I would need connected, and whether it fits my work. Send it to me on Slack. Do not post or reply anywhere else. Save this as a routine. If nothing qualifies, send one line saying so.” Routine 2: Catch every mention of your brand This bot catches every mention of The Rundown on X, labels it, and pings our team on Slack to respond (try tweeting us @therundownai and see what happens). “Every weekday at 9:00am, search X for mentions in the last 24 hours of [your brand, @handle, or your own name]. For each hit, give the author, link, a one-line summary, and whether it is praise, complaint, question, or neutral. Do not reply to anyone. Post the digest in [your Slack channel] and tag me. Save this as a routine. If a source is unavailable, say which one.” Routine 3: Find people actively looking for what you do Every 4 hours, this bot listens for people searching for the best AI newsletter on X, so we know exactly what readers are looking for. “Every 4 hours, search X for people evaluating [your category]. Catch three things: reviews or complaints about [category]; posts asking which [category] to use; and complaints about the problem [your product] solves. Quote the post, link it, name the account, and label it review, shopping, or complaint. Skip anything older than 24 hours, and skip [category] accounts promoting themselves. Post to [your Slack channel] only if there is at least one new hit you haven’t already shared. Do not reply to or interact with anyone. Save this as a routine. If the search fails, report the failure in Slack.” Routine 4: Never lose a new contact again I meet A LOT of people at events. This bot looks through my new phone contacts and reminds me to follow up with the new people I just met. “Every weekday at 8:30am in my time zone, read my address book and list contacts added in the last 14 days. For each, show name, date added, phone, email, and any note. Ask me what we talked about before you write anything. Once I reply, draft a follow-up task for each person in [your task tool] with the context attached. Never text, email, or call anyone. Save this as a routine. If the address book is unavailable, say so and do not use old data.”
Grok Bot can now search, read, and monitor X.

Following NEAR AI topping putnambench leaderboard, we now have claimed #1 on Lean Eval v1, the official active benchmark maintained by the Lean developers. We now have a very capable and cheap formal verification agent, and will share how we use it to formally prove NEAR protocol and smart contracts soon.
NEAR AI has claimed first place on the Lean Eval v1 leaderboard. Lean Eval v1 is an active benchmark maintained by Lean FRO that contains extremely hard formalization problems. We reached first place despite joining the competition just four weeks ago, a full month later than other top participants. NEAR is very heavily investing in formal verification efforts. Our ultimate goal is to formally prove the protocol and all the core contracts, and to provide a practical tool for others to formally verify their contracts in a fast and affordable way. The system that enabled us to claim first place is almost entirely powered by DeepSeek V4.1 Flash, and thus is (a) extremely cheap, and (b) has no dependencies on third parties because the model is open weight. When it comes to formally verifying software, the approach boils down to three pillars: 1. Representing the program in a way that can be reasoned about; 2. Expressing the properties that we desire to prove; 3. Coming up with a proof and formalizing it in Lean. Until recently, step (3) was prohibitively expensive for practical use at scale. With the system that we used for Lean Eval, we now have it solved. Stay tuned for updates on how we apply it in practice to formally verify NEAR contracts.

UPDATE: The $3.8 million stolen in the NEAR Intents exploit has been returned in full, General Manager Alex Shevchenko said, hours after giving the identified entity 48 hours to repay it. "We are stopping the investigation. Please use bug bounties instead of disrupting the services," he wrote.
UPDATE: NEAR Intents General Manager Alex Shevchenko said they have identified the entity behind the roughly $3.8 million exploit and gave them 48 hours to return the funds. "You know better than most how responsible disclosure works — this is the last window to use it," Shevchenko said. near:native

Earlier today, NEAR Intents was exploited for $3.8m. SHIELD, the AI security layer on Intents, detected outlier behavior and Intents were temporarily paused. All of the affected users will be compensated in full. The attacker exploited a bug in the Omni deposit/withdrawal interaction with the NEAR Intents smart contract isolated to USDT on BSC. The Intents team quickly identified the exact vulnerability and it was fixed within an hour of detection. NEAR Intents and near.com are already back online, except for a few affected chains on Intents. The core NEAR Protocol, NEAR token, and other applications on NEAR were not affected. NEAR Intents now processes over $4B a month in trading and payments volume, serving as the industry’s connector across chains and ecosystems. At this scale, we have to hold ourselves to a higher security standard. This was the first major exploit on Intents and we will apply all learnings from this incident as part of a full retro and postmortem. The crypto space is entering a new era of far more sophisticated cyber attacks. Recently, we have seen BitGet, Metamask, Lido all being targeted by criminals equipped with AI systems that are continuously trying to hack all infrastructure. As a space, we need to be far more vigilant and raise the bar on both onchain contract standards and offchain monitoring and proactive prevention. This includes incorporating formal verification, a key tool for preventing a large class of vulnerabilities. The NEAR ecosystem is already working on a formal verification system for NEAR contracts and will shortly implement it as part of the release process, alongside other security measures that will come out of the postmortem. Being more proactive against criminal activity is a critical step to ensure the growth and legitimacy of crypto. It’s time to join forces and work together to use all tools at our disposal to detect and prevent malicious activity. SHIELD is our approach to monitoring and AI-based outlier detection. We welcome new SHIELD partners to work with us to share information faster and get better at detecting and containing criminals and exploits across web3.
Earlier today NEAR Intents services were stopped after a security incident was detected. The incident was caused by a bug in the Omni deposit and withdrawal infrastructure interaction with NEAR Intents smart contract. The preliminary report indicates the total loss of approximately $3.8M. These funds will be compensated in full. The contract-side vulnerability has been patched. The operations of the NEAR Intents and near(.)com are expected to resume within 1h. Deposits and withdrawals on the following networks will remain unavailable for an additional ~12 hours while fixes to the Omni infrastructure are completed: BSC, Polygon, TON, Optimism, Avalanche, Stellar, Monad, LayerX, Adi, Scroll and Plasma. In case users hold any assets from these chains inside NEAR Intents (for example, in HOT wallet or on near(.)com), they will be able to swap them into other assets once NEAR Intents is back up (in ~1h). The incident has been reported to law enforcement, and we are working with security and blockchain analytics partners to trace the funds and pursue recovery. A detailed report will be shared publicly in the following days.

🚨JUST IN: ZachXBT says his X account is not eligible for monetization. He argues his original content on crypto investigations, which often get 1M+ views, are not being monetized. Meanwhile, he says news accounts repost his work and make money from it. He also says X’s own AI chatbot, Grok, regularly tells scam victims to contact him for help.

Sometimes feels like people don’t give @arthur0x the credit he deserves. He rose to fame as cocky VC wunderkid affiliated with 3AC but the untold story is how he managed to survive and thrive after being likely the single individual fucked over the most by 3AC. Working alongside with him through it gave me insane appreciation for his character and grit and I’m happy to call him my friend. For people that don’t know the lore, when 3AC blew up, the liquidators came after @DeFianceCapital’s assets even though DeFiance never benefited from or even knew about any of that leverage. Due to shitty legal structuring, his position was actually pretty bad and most of the lawyers we consulted told us we had a <10% chance of winning. Almost all of Arthur’s net worth was in that fund and he wasn’t allowed to use those funds to pay legal fees. Most LPs didn’t want to contribute. Bro was just selling any asset he had that was somewhat liquid (his NFTs, his car etc) to keep fighting against the estate’s unlimited money (some of which was literally his). I recall an incident where a lawyer told him about how bad his chances were. This mf, under the stress of potentially losing everything, smiles and dropped one of the coldest lines ever. “Look at the name of my fund.” Another time, when I was driving him home from a meeting with our lawyers I had a serious chat with him. I said “Bro as a friend, do you want to start thinking about asset protection? Cover your downside.” He told me no. I pressed that he might lose everything, that the liquidators might try to squeeze him personally for more. “If I lose everything I’ll just start again from zero.” We even had someone suggest given we custodied the disputed assets that Arthur just fuck off to Taiwan with the money to force the liquidators to settle with him rather than stay in Singapore bc it’s harder to enforce overseas. He refused bc he didn’t believe he should run when he’s in the right “even though I like Taiwan”. Eventually we navigated it together towards a settlement that although was incredibly unfair on the facts (tbh anything less than 100% felt unfair), still provided far more recovery than our lawyers (and even his LPs) expected. You really see people’s true character when the chips are down and Arthur has a force of will and self-conviction I’ve never seen in anyone else before. Tiger is right - Eye of the Tiger could literally be his theme music lmao.

Never cared about being diplomatic. Coinbase has done more for crypto than any org. Great company. Never sold any of my shares. Critique is in past 5 years there's been a lack of a user mindset in the construction of the core product and new product launches. And there seems to be an overall risk aversion or lack of skill in making new bets, taking stances that aren't consensus within crypto, and bridging culture in new ways to grow the pie. Specific advice: 1) Simplify core product, way too much going on and hard to use for normies 2) Figure out stock coins ASAP and ramp up TVL 3) Take time to understand trenches so Base doesn't get blown out of the water by green chain 4) Don't waste cash on acquisitions to try to gain favor on CT and play perception games that don't bring in new users. Invest in bridging crypto and culture in creative ways instead 5) Stand on Ethereum. Stack ETH. Tell the story of what the difference between a credibly neutral store of value and a company coin

one thing that has struck me throughout this entire saga is that Dario in particular has a lot of magical beliefs - he thinks the world runs like model UN. that AI safety could be handed over "to the right group of countries" - he thinks he can tell the US military what to do - he thinks a regulatory cosplay involving his close friends and financial associates is a close analogy to bank regulation - he thinks AI companies will adopt the safety and alignment practices of a pitched competitor, because... reasons - he thinks that somehow American AI dominance can persuade or force China to adopt western safety practices - he thinks a constitution that reads like the lovechild of the UNDHR and an EU bureaucrat is a sound normative basis for the entire world - he thinks that if the time comes, he can yell "stop" and the whole world will just stop

Look, I obviously don’t agree with Jesse on everything, and he himself may tell you that I am pretty annoying with my dissents inside CB. But to answer your question, I think it was because it was earned. Jesse willed Base into existence from nothing. In fact, Base sort of created the category that Stripe, Robinhood etc have followed into. Robinhood and Johann are doing a great job btw, very impressive and good to see trenches eating again, but hard to say if their chain would even exist today if Base didn’t exist. Base was created before the major Solana memecoin wave (6 months or so before WIF was created in 2023) which means Jesse fought to ship this through the post-FTX bear market. Obviously Jesse made some mistakes last year. Building stuff is really hard, and building it inside a big public company is even harder. I wouldn’t have made all the same choices he did, and not defending those choices either. But one thing I respect a lot about Jesse is that he still turns up and continues to put the work in every day despite all of CT treating him as a punching bag. Not sure how many other ppl I know that are willing to do that.
