Running it on every new model is a great idea. To make it comparable, keep the prompt, effort setting, and number of runs fixed, and save each version so you can show the progression side by side.

the original test was funny because the video model got it wrong in a weird way. js code can't fail like that, it just draws a cartoon mouth, so i think rerunning it per model only measures how well it animates a fork
