Самая крупная кража в истории крипты случилась не из-за взлома блокчейна, а из-за одного ноутбука.
Ночью с Binance увели около $6 млрд. По предварительной версии биржи, злоумышленник попал в ноутбук DevOps-инженера, оттуда в служебный контейнер, и оттуда уже отправлял выводы как свой. Ключи от кошельков не утекли, криптография выдержала. Подвёл человек и его рабочее место.
И это не случайность, а тренд недели:
Coinbase - утечка данных клиентов через подрядчика по аналитике.
Корея: Bithumb, Daishin Securities, Mirae Asset - тоже через внешних поставщиков.
Япония - волна атак с помощью ИИ, взломаны десятки компаний, включая госсайт по энергетике.
Общее у всех одно: сейчас ломают не сейфы, а людей вокруг них. Это подрядчики, ноутбуки сотрудников, фишинг, который ИИ делает дешёвым и убедительным. Защита взломщиков не останавливает, они просто идут в обход.
Хорошая новость тоже есть: Tether и Circle за часы заморозили почти $1,8 млрд, а Binance обещает покрыть потери из своего фонда. Крипта всё больше похожа на обычные финансы, со своими плюсами и минусами.
Что сделать себе уже сегодня:
аппаратный ключ или приложение вместо SMS для входа на биржи;
белый список адресов для вывода;
крупные суммы держать на своём холодном кошельке, а не на бирже; отдельная почта для бирж, которую больше нигде не светится.
Самое слабое звено любой системы - не код, а люди. Хоть в ИТ, хоть в ИИ, хоть в экономике, хоть в политике. Наверное поэтому я интуитивно начал ограничивать контакты последнее время. В основном, только проверенные годами люди.

SCOOP: Major U.S. banks are detecting unauthorized third-party AI agents inside customer accounts, including some attempting to take actions that appear to be independent of user instructions, sources told Axios.
The findings have alarmed banking executives, who are racing to restrict access to their systems as AI moves at a velocity faster than financial institutions can respond, multiple industry and bank executives told Axios.
Several banks are now preparing for worst-case and even “day after” scenarios, including how to rapidly secure or restore customer accounts if things go wrong, the people said.
Several bank executives told Axios they're struggling to distinguish between human users and AI agents. One executive said banks also struggle to determine whether agents are authorized by customers or potentially operating without their permission, more akin to rogue agent behavior.
