Four years ago, I started @theMariblock because I believed Africa deserved better reporting on blockchain.
Now I’m asking for your support.
If our work has informed you, earned your trust, please consider making a contribution.

It’s been a long journey but we’re finally here. Our Central bank pilot for issuing Tanzania’s first fully compliant stablecoin in @ntzs_co begins today! We were already live but regulation accelerates our growth! Excited to share our progress with you all as we scale.

amazing read!
this article explains the global stablecoin ecosystem plays.
writing is one of my fav ways to think more clearly, so i’m back to doing more of that (published or not).
this time, i wrote about why so many companies want their own digital dollar and when competition starts making money harder to move.

We're building AI that people and organizations can shape and make their own. AI should extend our will and judgment instead of neglecting it; enabling that is the technical challenge we are working to solve.

end of an era. the things i’ll miss most about my time at @Lisk are the incredible people i got to work with, the founders we built with and being a part of an ecosystem that cared deeply.
what a run. thank you for everything, Dominic 🫶🏽
After almost four years, I decided to step away from @LiskHQ.
Looking back, I'm incredibly proud of what we built together. We started with a simple belief: that emerging markets will play a major role in the future of Web3. Working alongside our local partners, we had the opportunity to support hundreds of founders across Africa, Southeast Asia, and Latin America as they brought products to market across the Ethereum ecosystem.
The experience strengthened my conviction that some of the most interesting innovation is happening far beyond the industry's traditional centers of gravity. Some convictions change. Others get stronger.
Thank you to everyone who was part of this journey over the past few years. Excited for what's next. I'll share more soon.
Nigerian stocks have overtaken South Korea’s Kospi index to hand investors the highest dollar-based returns this year, topping a list of 92 global stock exchanges tracked by Bloomberg.
Doubts about the AI boom are weighing on the Kospi, while Nigerian stocks have rallied. See why: bloom.bg/3SUKNEy

Following breakthrough results, we’re bringing longevity medicine to human trials.
We’ve raised a $435M Series C led by @foundersfund to make it happen.
Reprogramming cell age has the potential to create more healthy years for everyone. We're closer than ever to realizing it.

i love to see it.
if you need one API to onramp/offramp cNGN on Lisk at 1:1, get started with @paycrest

i don't think people realise how valuable @cngn_co has been for startups building for the nigerian market. less time wrestling with legacy payment infra / complex APIs & more time just moving value on-chain and settling in a currency nigerians actually use.
payments, merchant settlements, cross-border transfers, crypto-to-fiat flows, etc. with rails that work.
if you're building anything payments-adjacent in ng, you should probably be looking at this.

ICYMI: cNGN is now live on Lisk!
Builders can integrate a regulated, Naira-backed stablecoin directly into their apps, powering real payments, transfers, remittances, and use cases Nigerians actually need.
Less hype. More real-world building.
Let’s ship. 🚀

Nobody tells you this: Confidence is less about knowing you’ll win and more about knowing you’ll bounce back even if you don’t. Real confidence is resilience. Adaptability. Tolerance for uncertainty. Fear loses when you know failure is never final.

Beneath the surface of global headlines, Sub-Saharan Africa is driving one of the fastest phases of crypto adoption globally.
$205B in on-chain value received
+52% year-over-year growth — third fastest worldwide
43% of all transactions settled in stablecoins
This is not speculative activity. It is utility at scale.
Nigeria alone accounts for $22B in stablecoin flows.
South Africa has over 6M stablecoin holders.
Stablecoins in Africa are no longer just a hedge against inflation.
They are becoming core infrastructure for how value moves.

The loudest story about AI is a lonely one. One person with an army of chatbots. Other humans are friction.
That gets the future wrong. The best things aren’t built alone.
In a moment of change, we want to remind the world (and ourselves) what Notion stands for:

Big day for us at @twifintech - super proud of this team, @NikMilanovic and @dsem221.
5 years ago I joined Nik on this journey hosting Africa events, and over the last few months Paschal Okeke has taken that to a new level.
We're only getting started!
