🦋All right, given no opt out for AI training, I am putting Twitter into read-only mode—not deleting old tweets again, for the sake of anyone who needs to reference them, but also not generating new training material for Grok.

Did I spend almost an hour this afternoon thinking about how I would make a better—note: not faster, indeed slower (!) but better—route for @boulderthon? Yes. Yes, I did.
This would be slower, hillier, and trail-ier than the courses Boulderthon has done for the past few years… but also a *lot* lovelier. strava.com/routes/3549538889…
Mulling and course-building brought to you by my finally getting around to writing up a race report from running Boulderthon back at the end of September. It went: pretty well! I took 5th overall and 1st in my age group. More: v5.chriskrycho.com/journal/2…
Hey @REI, a question/suggestion for you: why is it that a pre-ordered device (fēnix 9 Pro In-Reach) still isn’t shipping but I can order one now that they’re on sale and have it delivered early next week? Seems kind of lame! Pre-orders should ship *first*, right? 😕

A quick Friday-evening note on what I do and don’t tend to write about on social media—and why! I mostly post about tech in the “literally building software” sense, and about music.
I will gladly buy you a coffee, a beer, some tea, a sparkling water, etc. and talk about any of those things with you—up to and including the eternal fate of our souls before the living God, because I really am a serious Christian!—any time in person. For real. Take me up on it.
As usual for longer threads like this, there is a fuller copy of this on my website: v5.chriskrycho.com/journal/n…
Regardless of where else I am posting, you can *always* find the best of my writing there!
