Think about that. A citizen and Army veteran stuck because one old document was missing. Now expand that across the country. Millions upon millions of Americans have identity histories that don’t fit into one perfect government record. Marriage, adoption, divorce, immigration, court-ordered name changes, and simple clerical errors all create gaps. The SAVE Act would add more opportunities for those gaps to become barriers.
