So basically, today the @Reds ownership and FO properly acknowledged all of the teams’ shortcomings. Checked all the boxes for the most part.
Then they said they’re NOT going to do anything of value to fix them and everyone’s coming back with only hopes & dreams.
Boycott.

“The city has charm. It has history. We have the Big Red Machine. We have icons - some of the greatest players in the history of the sport wore our uniform. Cincinnati needs to be a centerpiece place in Major League Baseball…” - @JoeyVotto

The Cincinnati #Reds are the dumbest organization in Major League Baseball and it’s not particularly close.

I cannot stomach the fact that Nick Krall and Brad Meador get to make this sort of decision.
Reds are drawing significant interest in Hunter Greene, per @Ken_Rosenthal.

This wasn’t written based off of short sided emotion.
It’s written off facts and failure driven by an urgency to find success before key pieces depart.
My thoughts on why it’s time for major changes in the Reds front office

I love the Cincinnati #Reds . I love them.
What is happening now, and what has happened for my entire life (27 years) has been just about the most pathetic showing a professional sports franchise could give.
Credit to the Owners and management. You failed a city.

Watching this Reds bullpen on a daily basis carries with it side effects such as nausea, heartburn, acid reflux, headaches, and general insanity

I am not for the OWNERS. I am FOR my TEAM having a fair shot just like any other team. I do not care about anything else. The players will still be millionaires and the owners will still be billionaires no matter what happens.
The only reason the Dodgers get to make Kyle Tucker the most paid player in baseball is because they have the HIGHEST TV deal in baseball. Sorry that is UNFAIR. Small market teams do not stand a chance.
Dak Prescott still makes $60 million a year in a CAPPED league so I do not want to hear the excuse that is suppress wages. That is the biggest myth going around.
A cap and floor is the way to go and if it takes 3 years to happen. I DO NOT CARE.

I'm sorry man, but any system that allowed Bo Bichette to get paid he did in the free agency could use a tiny bit of anti-player tweaking.
The MLBPA's response, in part, to today's proposal: "The owners responded today with a demand for a salary cap system, something generations of players have fought against. The last time the owners made such an explicit push for a cap—over 30 years ago—it led to the longest work stoppage in MLB history. For generations, our members have fought against cap systems because they harm players at all levels, erode or eliminate contractual guarantees, pit player against player, lead to more work stoppages, not less, and get worse for players over time. Caps don’t lower ticket prices for fans, eliminate tanking or ensure teams are run with equal competence. They suffocate competition by offering owners an all-purpose excuse for inaction and mediocrity."
