Hossein Taebi was shot and killed by Islamic Republic forces in Isfahan. It was January 9, 2026. He was 39 years old. But Hossein Taebi was not simply another name added to the list of people killed that night. He was a teacher. A physics teacher and university lecturer whose students still remember the way he made them care about something they once thought they hated. People close to Hossein said that even students who had no interest in physics could walk into his classroom and begin to love it because of the way he taught. That tells you something about a teacher. And something about the man behind the lessons. Hossein was remembered as warm, funny and good-natured. He taught with patience and genuine care for his students. He was generous. And he had a particular kindness toward animals. Hossein was unmarried, and much of his life revolved around teaching, learning and the people around him. For years, students sat in front of him while he explained how the world worked through equations and physics. At 39 years old, Hossein was shot in the streets of Isfahan. He is buried in Bagh Rezvan cemetery, in Boostan 5, row 3, grave 20. A teacher’s real legacy is often carried by the people they taught.
