Maurits says nothing makes him happier than going to bed knowing he gave it everything that day, even more than a six figure spend day on villas and parties. "My ultimate sense of happiness comes from progress." "Going from 1,000 to 10,000 feels so much more rewarding than going from 100K to a million." "I'll go to bed happier after a day where I gave it everything than after a six-figure spend day between villas and parties."

insentos turned $50K from trading into $100K, then lost it all on one blackjack hand on his birthday. "I had made $20K to $50K trading, then kept going all-in on blackjack until I reached $100K. That was my dream number. I thought if I ever made $100K, I'd be set." "On my birthday, April 2nd, I was sitting in my room thinking, let's go all-in on a $100K hand. I lost the whole thing." "I was numb. For an entire month, I barely got out of bed." "Honestly, I'm glad it happened early. It taught me a lesson before I got really rich, and I haven't gambled like that since." ~ insentos

"The first time we used fomo, it was just a group of ten of us. As we used it, we looked at each other and said, wow, this is going to be massive. It's a new form factor. No one has done this before. There's always doubt in the back of your head. Is my intuition wrong? How do we get this to hundreds of millions of people? We're still early on that journey, but we realized very early that we had to become world-class at growth and distribution. The goal is to build a joyful product. Even when you believed it would happen, it still feels surreal when it does." ~ Paul, co-founder of fomo

Maurits says it scares him that everyone agrees we're heading into a bull market, but thinks simple trading apps bringing in retail could still set up the biggest on-chain season ever. "Every time everyone agrees on something, it's almost always wrong." "It's the first time ever where retail can actually participate." "Now being able to trade from your phone, with the most simple UI, being able to Apple Pay in. The cards aligned for the biggest on-chain season we've seen." Note that he actually says agreement is usually wrong, not that it's likely to happen, so I kept it that way. His case for the bull is the retail onboarding.

Maurits says that if he could DM his younger self he'd say be more present, because he was once up over $100K in class and it didn't even register. "I was in class and I would be up over 100K on my phone, and it didn't even clock me. That's pretty insane. I was not present." "I had a couple of really big trade losses that I would just avoid thinking about. I wish I had experienced every moment fully." "You actually need to just sit in the pain for a bit." "I wish I embraced the lows and the highs a lot more. It's more fun that way."

Pudgy Penguins founder Luca Netz tells young founders to ignore the crowd because a lot of people think they know what they're talking about and don't. "Don't listen to the crowd. Trust your gut, trust your instinct. Never give up." "Your company is only as good as the people around you. I wouldn't have been able to build this business without my co-founders." "Have some fun and aim for the stars. And if you land on the moon, you'll be fine."

Maurits says he keeps 60 to 70% of his money in stables because his whole career is already a bet on crypto. "My whole life is exposed to crypto through content, through the nature of my work, through deal flow. So I'm already basically all in." "If this crypto thing disappears tomorrow, which I think is a 1% chance, not only is my capital gone, but my connections and my brand is also worthless." "I'm like 60, 70% in stables and I don't think I'll ever change that."
