ok safe to say binance is pwned The biggest assets were approximately: β€’ 1.615B USDT β€’ 62.6M RLUSD β€’ 29,934 wBETH β€’ 11,372 XAUt β€’ 6.19M UNI β€’ 198.4M ENA β€’ 7.175T PEPE β€’ 27.8M USD1 β€’ 2.26M LINK β€’ 127,853 AAVE about $2.5B at the explorer’s prices. 1. The attacker deployed a delegate contract, 0x63e842b0...73e9c6fAe, from the relayer at 15:59 UTC. 2. About four hours later, the relayer submitted an EIP-7702 authorization transaction That installed the malicious 7702 delegate code on Binance 14. 3. The relayer then made a call to Binance 14, executing the delegate code, and transferring Binance 14’s ETH and token balances. 4. The calldata is labeled sweep(address, address[]). The second argument is a list of recognizable token-contract addresses plus the zero-address (eth). 5. The same relayer later used the same delegate to move 780M USDC from Binance Hot Wallet 34 into the same pool β€’ The relayer 0x7C... was funded by three Tornado Cash 0.1 ETH withdrawals over the prior two days. β€’ The same pool also received 28,005.6 ETH from Binance 16 24 seconds after the main sweep. β€’ The pool then forwarded 195,460 ETH to a fresh, unlabeled EOA β€’ That EOA has only one transaction and currently holds the 195,460 ETH. What's a bit unclear is why the relayer was needed in the first place. If they had the private keys to the Binance wallets, they could have just sent the assets out in an atomic bundle without needing a relayer at all. So it seems likely that they didn't have the private keys and instead just had the 7702 auth signatures, which must have been phished somehow. I think we can go ahead and assume DPRK.

Watched @mcuban on Diary of a CEO. He keeps saying AI is "not smart" just next-token prediction, no ethics, always behind a 2-year-old with a sippy cup. That framing feels like denial about how much leverage this already has. You can be honest about limits without underplaying the power.

I left Claude running overnight to find the best prompt and model for dictation cleanup in Earheart. It came back with a one-sentence prompt change, a bug fix, and numbers for both. - Qwen3 4B: 55% β†’ 73% - Gemma 3 12B: 51% β†’ 68% - Granite 4.0 Micro: 51% β†’ 62% 🧡

Cloudflare still uses PHP
‼️ BREAKING: Two leaked remote code execution flaws in PHP are real, watchTowr confirms. PHP will ship fixes for two critical flaws, both rated CVSS 9.2, on Wednesday 21 October at 14:00 UTC, a day before the embargo was due to lift. CVE-2026-109618 and CVE-2026-109619 first surfaced in a Hacker News post whose author admitted having no evidence beyond "source: trust me, bro". Kevin Beaumont flagged the leak, and watchTowr confirmed it two hours later. PHP says it may release sooner if details go public or exploitation appears. It has not named the CVEs or the affected versions.

We have generated more code since coding agents emerged than in the entire history of manual coding.

I met a developer who still writes all code by hand.

The end of an era
It's been an incredible journey, but I've made the difficult decision to step back from day-to-day operations at @_SEAL_Org. I'll be transitioning onto the Board while @sbatt55 transitions from COO to Interim CEO
