I’m not kidding: those who delegate all their writing, thinking and creative expression to machines are going to wake up one day and discover that they can no longer write or think. You need to make your own art. You need to keep your brain working. You need to stay human.

Damn, it does look like this guy found the exact playbook that Elon and Trump are using right now.
They appear to be following Yavin's strategy to install a techno-monarchy in the US. The fact that Thiel, Vance, and Bannon are all fans of this guy's work point toward this being direct influence rather than parallel thinking.
This is worth a read.

This sentence from @davidfrum captures perfectly why it’s so difficult to write about almost anything related to Trump:
“The situation was simultaneously too stupid for serious journalism and too shameful for wisecracks.”

It is grimly hilarious to see this guy ripping up decades of American soft power projects while going “Wow!” and “Gawrsh!” at stuff he doesn’t understand. God only knows what the Russians or Iranians are making of the CIA getting absolutely hosed in public by an imbecile.

Hydrangea macrophylla a native to Japan grows like crazy here in #NewZealand Flower color depends on soil pH. 5.5 or lower = blue flowers, 6.5 or higher = pink hydrangeas, and between 5.5 & 6.5 purple. This is due to the availability of aluminium ions in the soil base on the pH.

December 10th ➦In 1967...Otis Redding and four members of the Bar-Kays (Otis’ backup group) were killed in the crash of a private plane near Madison, Wisconsin. Redding was just 26 years old. He came along at a time when black rhythm-and-blues artists were making inroads into the Top-40. But it was not until after his death that one of his records made the top of the charts. “(Sittin’ On) The Dock of the Bay” was a number-one hit in early 1968, selling four-million copies in five months.
