You can do fucking BOTH! Do not squander this!
He speaks wisdom. This is a marathon, not a sprint. We need people healthy. Get them healthy now, not January.
Tyrese Haliburton ended up straining his hamstring on the second night of a b2b and it was the 3rd game in 4 nights. He’s now out for multiple weeks.
It was also the 4th hamstring strain this team has suffered since the beginning of training camp.
With Siakam, Nembhard & Nesmith playing extended minutes because of the injuries, the decision to rest them on the second night of a b2b and in the 3rd game in 4 nights makes sense.
Indiana had 6 of 14 players already out and the last thing you want to do is add to that list if you can help it.
Understand the confusion of resting so early into the season, but with how many guys have been hurt so early into the year, I get the reason why they’re erring on the side of caution.

The Pacers have several injuries. The majority of them are hamstring issues. After changing their offseason conditioning approach, why is this still happening?
“I think it’s more inevitable than anything,” Aaron Nesmith said. That and more theories: forbes.com/sites/tonyeast/20…
Oof. No starters. We’ve had a brutal schedule to start the season, but seeing this many out, it gives us what? 2 full squads? Mostly 2-way folks, Oubre Jr., Huff, Walker?
Injury Report for tonight's game against the Hawks:
Obi Toppin - Questionable (lumbar sprain)
Larry Nance Jr. - Doubtful (illness)
Andrew Nembhard - Out (cervical injury mangement)
Aaron Nesmith - Out (left hamstring injury management)
Pascal Siakam - Out (rest)
Tyrese Haliburton - Out (left hamstring strain)
Ben Sheppard - Out (left meniscus surgery)
Johnny Furphy - Out (right ACL repair/surgery)
T.J. McConnell - Out (right hamstring strain)
Ivica Zubac - Out (left ankle sprain)
Larry Nance Jr. has no points, 4 boards, 1 assist, 3 fouls. Him taking that charge is the most productive he’s been.
