It's a double-edged sword. Removing the 5-hour limit might make you burn your weekly quota hours or even days before the week ends.
We’re renaming our Max plans:
Max 5x → Max
Max 20x → Ultra
Max is still $100/month, and Ultra is still $200. If you’re a subscriber, there’s nothing you need to do.
We’re also removing the 5-hour limit for verified Ultra accounts, starting today with most existing subscribers. Newer accounts keep a temporary limit until they’re verified, which helps us prevent fraud and abuse. You'll get an email when it's removed.
Weekly limits remain unchanged. View our plans here: claude.com/pricing
This is a really good point. Software is constantly evolving, and companies require you to do and know more things: frontend, backend, infra, cloud, system design, and now AI. For us native Spanish speakers, learning English is also part of that. There's so much pressure that few people are willing to do all that.
And you don't need to be an expert in everything. That's impossible. You need enough resilience and passion for this profession to adapt your thinking. Many people aren't willing to do that, and those who are earn more money and have more opportunities.
I think many of us working in tech tend to forget that the reason software engineering vs other engineering fields pays (a lot!) more, is a lot more flexible (WFH/remote), and has better perks:
Because this field changes much faster than other engineering fields. The premium is because fewer people are able/willing to pick up new technologies, methodologies so quickly.
But the field had ~10-20 years of stability, and so lots of folks forgot this is why a premium exists. And that AI is just another tech wave: software engineers who pick it up and master it will generally fare better; those not will struggle a lot more.

Ariana Grande sigue guardando silencio frente a la vulnerabilidad de PHP (CVE-2026-109618 y CVE-2026-109619).
I finally updated my portfolio! 🥳
I'd been using the same version since 2023 🤣
Some of the text still needs work, but yeah, it was definitely time for an update!
Also, I finally bought a domain 😅
Here's a little before and after 👇

A while ago, I built OpenWhispr Proxy to solve an integration gap. OpenWhispr’s text requests already work with Vercel AI Gateway’s OpenAI-compatible API, but its audio transcription requests use a different API format. The proxy bridges that audio flow.
I’ve updated it with a dashboard at /dashboard for usage, costs, and filterable request history. I also published a prebuilt Docker image to GitHub Container Registry (GHCR), so you can run it without building the image yourself.
The proxy also routes transcript cleanup requests, which lets me see usage from both audio and text in one place.
I use OpenWhispr every day for dictation. it's open source, and you can run it free with local models or your own API keys.
but it has a problem: it doesn't support Vercel's AI Gateway, which is what I use for everything.
so I built a proxy that fixes it.
run it locally, point OpenWhispr at it, and you get Vercel AI Gateway as a provider.
I also added something I wanted: it logs every transcription to SQLite with cost and latency. so I know exactly what I'm spending and how fast each model responds.
check it out. it's open source:

gpt-6.1 (and I don't know about other versions) love to write code without line breaks.
the code looks very ugly and cluttered.

All my time can be summed up as:
- thinking about how to solve problems and iterating on solutions with AI.
- reading AI-generated code.
- reading my coworkers' code (also AI-generated code).
AWS launched Lambda Web Functions on October 12, bringing a native HTTP server model to Lambda.
Traditional Lambdas are now called Event Functions. Web Functions let you run a Node.js backend using Express, Hono, Fastify or NestJS without event-to-HTTP adapters. AWS provides HTTPS, manages scaling and scales the application to zero when idle.
Multiple concurrent requests can share one environment, reusing the initialized application and connection pools. While one request waits for a database, the server can handle others.
This makes Web Functions interesting for:
- REST and GraphQL APIs with database or external-service calls.
- Server-rendered applications, such as Next.js.
- AI backends that stream responses to clients.
- HTTP microservices with variable traffic.
They also work with CloudFront for applications that combine static and dynamic content. CloudFront can cache static assets while Web Functions handles server rendering and API requests.
Billing separates active CPU from memory consumption. Reference rates for US East, N. Virginia, in USD are:
- $0.30 per million requests.
- Approximately $0.0997 per active vCPU-hour.
- Approximately $0.0132 per GB-hour of consumed memory.
Waiting on I/O consumes little CPU, but memory remains billable while the environment exists, including between requests. Data transfer and other services add costs. AWS pricing.
Cold starts still exist: your application must initialize whenever a new environment starts. The benefit is sharing that initialized server across concurrent requests.

Write more. Write to think. Write until you're no longer confused. Write about the problems you already solved. Write for the person you were 2 years ago. Write so you never lose what took you years to figure out. A simple writing habit can change absolutely everything.
People are really quick with these things haha.
AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA NO WAY.
> OpenAI just announced Dots.
> SpaceXAI bought Dot.com
it redirects straight to the Grok Bot download page. based lmao.

No solo programando.
Pensar cuesta.
