Wakefield had an incredible run in the state tournament! We battled our way to a 2-1 upset win over #2 Marshfield to advance to the semifinals. I threw a complete game, allowing just 1 earned run on 4 hits while recording 5 strikeouts, all while pushing through a couple of minor injuries. Although I didn’t get the start against #3 Somerset Berkley due to the pain, I came in relief in the second inning and allowed just 1 hit, 0 runs, and struck out 5 to limit the damage. While our season ended with a hard-fought 3-2 loss, I couldn’t be prouder of this team and everything we accomplished during this historic season. Thank you to my coaches, teammates, and everyone who supported us along the way!
