Another wisdom drop from Pat Murphy...

Even the most online, cutting edge and intellectually curious coach you can think of is going to get their ass kicked at some point this coming season by a team coached by a grey haired science teacher in a sweater vest running a 1972 version of The Flex.

This date always brings emotion. Have been working on this book the past year…
It honestly has been rewarding. The few who have read it have said, “I couldn’t put the book down once I started…”
Could use some help with a publisher and how to make the finals steps…

Northern Illinois coach Matt Majkrzak will have the it playing like no other team in the country, and he's not scared of being different. He wouldn't have gotten here if he was.
“The guy is nuts, in the best way.”

Hard days reveal what easy days hide.
Nobody's attitude gets tested on a good day.
Nobody's faith gets proven when everything is working. Nobody's character shows up when the meeting goes well and the boss is happy and the project lands perfectly.
That's just a good day.
The hard day is where everything real lives.
How you treat people when you're tired.
How you respond when you're wronged.
How you show up when showing up costs you something.
That's the version of you that matters.
