You ship a useful app. Then nobody can find it, not on Google and not in AI search.
That's why I built UsefulShelf: a jev reviewed directory where every app gets its own page with clear details, structured data and a direct link to your site.
Free to list. Link below.
we got one more customer gng
thanks to @samsmallmind for listing nenspace[dot]com
i have been using nen for a while now and you should too.
i am just curious we have 127 signups for usefulshelf[dot]co and only 50 listing why?
people are signing up but not listing?
i have made the listing so much easier in general.
50+ products have been listed on usefulshelf.co
ai made me faster at writing code and slower at understanding it.
a year ago i'd get stuck on one bug for a whole day. it was painful, but by the end i actually knew how the thing worked. that struggle is where the confidence came from.
now the agent writes the feature in minutes and i spend hours reading code i didn't write, testing it, and fixing what it got confidently wrong.
i ship more than ever. i'm not sure i learn more than ever.
if you never struggle with a problem, you never really own the code.
My dad who isn't technical uses ai to run his two youtube channel.
He purchased a $50 course online and is making videos with omni.
He scaled his both channels to 2k subscribers organically using AI within 2 weeks.
Even I was so shocked when he showed it to me.
This is my thesis: no one uses AI. I repeat, absolutely no one. We live in a bubble.
Even among my friends who pay for it, when I ask them to open ChatGPT and show me their queries, it’s the same handful of basic things.
Most don’t even know they can upload a photo and ask questions about it. Connecting Gmail so an agent can read and send emails blows their minds. An agent opening a browser and checking them into a flight? They’ve never even heard of it.
The massive challenge right now is adoption, and then getting people who already signed up to actually use what they’re paying for. Most have absolutely zero clue what’s possible.
Imagine the compute shortage when everyone starts using AI like the top 1% of users do today.
most founders submit their site to Google and stop there.
that might be a mistake.
one of the things that helped grow Screenshot Studio to 28k+ monthly visitors was making sure Bing could actually find it.
why?
because search isn’t only happening on Google anymore.
AI chatbots need to find + cite your product too.
I wrote about this + the full organic growth loop I’m using.

Taking a break today no shipping, no clanking.
Just chilling and relaxing.

OpenAI Dots was shit and Grok Bot costs $20/month
So I built PEKKA
An open-source AI chief of staff that lives in its own computer, works while you’re away, remembers things, runs on a schedule and is accessible from anywhere.

the hardest part of building products is not coding anymore.
it’s deciding what’s actually worth building.
AI made execution 10x cheaper.
unfortunately it did not make good taste 10x easier.
This sums up there is no moat now.
Anyone with connections can copy and raise money.
Google just led a $20m round into a complete rip-off of my startup, Fastlane.
(skip to 55 seconds to skip context)
This isn’t something I’d normally talk about, but a line has been crossed. This disgusting and egregious behavior honestly makes me sick.
Fortunately, there is nothing anyone could do to stop us from winning. Especially not some unimaginative NPC’s. Good luck fellas.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
The post claims Google led a $20M round into a real "Relay" rip-off of Fastlane, but no such funding or scaled competitor exists; it amplifies unverified hype for a basic tool contradicted by its site and community notes.
