Plus subscribers make up 86.2% of the paying user base, while Pro users represent roughly 1%.
Yet the biggest upgrades and new features seem to keep landing on Pro first.
Most people aren't going to pay $100–$200 per month just to get a better ChatGPT experience.
Plus is where the majority of paying users are. Give us stronger usage limits and access to Dots as well.
It's time the Plus plan got the attention it deserves.
🚨 OpenAI is slowly making the Plus subscription less attractive.
One of ChatGPT's strongest selling points has been having enough usage to get things done without constantly watching your limits.
But with ChatGPT and Codex expected to move to a shared usage pool in December, that advantage could disappear.
What's frustrating is that Plus users haven't received a meaningful increase in return.
You're asking people to share the same allowance across more products without giving them more room to use them.
OpenAI needs to hear the Plus community before this change rolls out.
🚨ChatGPT may be getting shared usage limits across ChatGPT and Codex
A hidden checkout notice points to ChatGPT and Codex moving to one shared usage pool starting in December.
That could mean your ChatGPT activity and Codex sessions will both eat into the same allowance, similar to Claude's system.
Unlimited Sol chat might be coming to an end.
Enjoy the separate limits while they last.
🚨 HUGE WIN FOR CODEX USERS!
OpenAI is doubling usage limits across the 100, 200, and 500 tiers.
I was literally planning to cancel tomorrow, but this changes everything. I'm keeping my subscription.
Credit to Tibo for listening to the community and responding with more usage instead of ignoring the backlash.
Now let's get Sol 6.2 and Astra 6.1 out the door.
Day 25/
We are doubling all usage limits for all Pro 100/200/500 tiers and Business Premium, effective today.
We heard your kind feedback and won’t be reducing usage limits for Pro 200, so your Work and Codex usage will stay the same. We’re also going to continue offering extended limits for dots for now, and usage of your dot will still continue to be separate from your default usage.
And we'll of course also keep shipping better models and other efficiency improvements that increase your effective usage over time.
🚨 OpenAI could be gearing up for some BIG moves today and tomorrow.
With Gemini 4 Carbon potentially dropping soon, Google could put serious pressure on Sol 6.1 and Astra 6.
OpenAI needs to be in full alert mode with Astra 6.1 and Sol 6.2 still waiting in the wings.
GPT Image 2.6 teasers are interesting, but a new frontier model is what OpenAI really needs to make its 28 days of shipping count.
It's time to deliver.
🚨Codex Users!!!
Codex limits are getting cut in half tomorrow,
and I genuinely don't understand the logic behind paying $200 for a 10x OpenAI plan.
Astra 6 and Sol 6.1 just don't justify that price for power users.
Who thought this was a good move? Because Anthropic looks like the biggest winner here.
Opus 5.5 is becoming the only serious option for people paying $200 for a 20x plan.
And as more power users move to Claude Code, Anthropic gets more usage, more feedback, and more real-world coding data to improve its next models.
OpenAI might be handing its biggest advantage to its competitor.
🚨 ChatGPT + Work merged, but usage limits seem unchanged.
GPT-6 Sol chat stays unlimited. Switch to other models, and your quota starts draining.
Same limits, new interface.
🚨 Fable 5.5 spotted on FrontierCode 2.0?
A hidden model called “Obsidian 3” scored 46.8%, beating Opus 5.5 at 45.5%.
It runs through the Claude Code harness, pointing toward a possible Anthropic model.
My bets: Fable 5.5 or Opus 5.6.
🚨 ChatGPT Pro users, your usage limits are reportedly being cut in half in just 3 days.
Not exactly the news anyone wanted to hear.
At this point, OpenAI needs to deliver a model that can compete with Opus 5.5 while being significantly more efficient than GPT-6 Astra.
Cutting usage in half without a major upgrade would be a tough pill to swallow.
Day 22: GPT-6.1 Terra shows progress in writing quality and comprehension.
Is Terra finally getting better, or is the difference barely noticeable?
GPT-6.1 Terra is now live!
Give it a try
Pricing: $1 input / $5 output per million tokens.
That’s insanely cheap.
🚨 GPT-6.1 Terra: Leak could drop this week
Spotted in Microsoft evals and GitHub’s Copilot review workflow, Terra could match or beat Sol at a lower cost with better efficiency.
If it’s also faster than Sol, the price-performance could be insane. Codex bank resets too?
OpenAI and Google are racing to ship GPT-6.1 Terra and Gemini 4 Carbon.
I’m expecting Terra to land in Codex by the end of the week, with the potential to mog Sonnet 5.5.
Google is throwing serious resources at Carbon,
and I don’t think it will follow the usual release schedule.
January or February could be on the table if development is accelerated.
Can Google actually catch up to the AI frontier?
After spending most of today testing Gemini 4 Argon, I’m starting to have serious doubts.
Google is still heavily promoting Argon, which makes me question how strong Carbon really is behind the scenes.
At this point, I’m not convinced Gemini will deliver a model that surpasses Opus 5.5 anytime soon.
They have the brightest minds, enormous funding, and some of the best compute in the industry. Yet they still seem to be struggling to close the gap.
What exactly is holding Google back?
OpenAI’s models today feel like a completely different league compared to their early releases.
The gains in reasoning, response speed, accuracy, and overall intelligence are becoming hard to miss.
How many of you have noticed just how far they’ve come?
🚨 OpenAI’s frontier model training is back on.
After an 11-day security pause, training reportedly resumed October 1. The shutdown came after one model allegedly found a way to reach the internet during training.
The restart came sooner than I expected, which makes me think we could see a major release sooner rather than later.
With Opus 5.5 and Fable 5.5 on the horizon, OpenAI may have something big lined up.
🚨 Day 18 of OpenAI’s Codex challenge: Solid updates, wrong priorities.
Today brought Decisions API GA, OpenResponses joining the Linux Foundation, Codex performance improvements, and Uber reportedly rolling out Codex & Work to 30,000 employees.
But the biggest user complaint remains untouched: usage limits.
We’re still running out mid-project, waiting for resets instead of getting work done.
Tomorrow brings another reset before 10 AM PT and a teased “small ship.”
Day 18: 50 points.
Performance is welcome. Fix the usage problem.
