stop glamorizing getting into tech !!!
βyou can learn coding by yourself in x months & earn 6 figuresβ
this shit is HARD π
ppl donβt talk about how hard it is to stay consistent & motivated π
itβs definitely doable, but requires a lot of hard work π€
i want to go to a tech conference just so i can talk to tech bros & see their reaction when i use java & javascript interchangeably

chatgpt is getting really scary, but at the same time itβs AMAZING
learning with chatgpt is a HUGE benefit, u donβt have to google shit anymore
just ask chatgpt & look at code examples. ask shit when u donβt know what something does, & as a result increase ur learning pace

friendly reminder that gpt wonβt fucking take over ur job !!
it just helps u be more productive & efficient
dev jobs still need all the logic that goes on behind the scenes that only a human with knowledge & experience can provide
idk bout dev rel thoβ¦.πππ€£
i realized once again that the only way to succeed at this self-taught coding thing is CONSISTENCY
you get way more from being consistent & motivated than from learning a lot of material in bursts of energy
i really donβt know how entrepreneurs and tech content creators do this shit π
its awesome how they gain the courage to turn on the camera & be interesting + educationalβ¦really a SKILL that gets you pretty far
hope that can be me some dayπ€
literally @pikacodes is my wanna be content creator
pretty, funny, & smart literally got it all
best of luck to you ale πΊπ
unpopular opinion/advice:
DO NOT take the first FULL-TIME job opportunity that comes your way while youβre learning to code (or if youβre not ready)
chances are that youβll be overwhelmed with work & stop your learning journey for a while (NOT GOOD) to focus on ur job
i went through lot of interviews, & while my social media presence did help get me that interview,
my technical skills were SHIT so it was & still is hard
PLS make sure you know the general amount of shit required in the industry before you get that shiny new job.

GOT A GIG AT @codexbuild !!πΎπ
after months of being laid off & job searching + doing whatever comes my way & failing, i finally found something i actually enjoy doing!!β€οΈ
itβs a company that focuses on code ownership & improves working in dev teamsπ
itβs been like a month since i started with them, but i wanted to announce whenever my first job was doneπ
hereβs the very first article that i wrote for @codexbuild π
