It was a little over 2 years ago when I capitulated to crypto being mostly a joke. 2+ years later, here we are, glorifying serial ruggers to extents I couldn't have imagined and repackaging every form of gambling into something easy to fire from the couch.
It is what it is-- there is no stopping it. At some point I thought differently but I was wrong. The industry has earned the bad perception it has. You have at least another 2 years until there is a chance of a new administration that would seek to reverse the direction of travel.
My way of coping is paying attention to the ≈10 things that actually matter (towards non-sovereign money and modernizing the financial system) and ignoring the 98349237543906782943579 things that don't-- only occasionally crossing over when things get slow to confirm nothing has changed
