First real vacation since starting Locus, reunited with friends I hadn't seen in 3 years.
Back to work in a couple days but this was much needed :-)
I think people in tech isolate themselves and underestimate how much it helps to get out of the SF bubble. The grind matters, but you can't perform at your best if you're unhappy.
Go win, but happy-maxx while you do it.

“You Can See Everything” topped Digger as my watch of the year thus far. What a masterpiece.
If I had to use one word I’d describe the movie as sobering.

This is so cool. Bet someone bootstraps a consumer product that decompiles a bunch of retro games, lets you remix them with an easy AI interface (think Lovable-style), and shares the results in a marketplace.
Entirely illegal, but I’d guess there’s a ~6 month window to print money before the Nintendo ninjas show up.
Trying to internalize the lesson that no company initially succeeds by being a swiss army knife, successful companies were screwdriver that covered more cases over time
Someone should build a bot that just responds to every single launch adjacent tweet with “what’s the moat” and watch the chaos unfold >:)
I believe the difference between a pragmatist and a pessimist is a pragmatist thinks about the negative scenarios, but also believes they can find a logical solution to them.
