🚨 BREAKING: Reports of significant layoffs at Geotab in Oakville, Ontario. A post circulating on Reddit's r/oakville community claims approximately 350 employees were laid off, representing roughly 10% of the company's workforce. One Reddit user claiming to work at Geotab says five of their teammates lost their jobs and describes employee morale as extremely low. Geotab is a major Canadian technology company headquartered in Oakville. These reports have not yet been independently verified or officially confirmed by the company. Another troubling sign for Canada's tech workforce, if confirmed.

in summary. polymarket got owned
We've identified & fixed an issue impacting our international platform, Polymarket.com. One of our 3rd party providers was compromised, and we have referred this to relevant law enforcement. Anyone who has been impacted will be made whole. Out of an abundance of caution, we have temporarily halted trading & are working to bring the platform back online.

why is every cyber attack trying to distill nitter.cf/CommandCodeAI/status/2…
Earlier today we detected and stopped a security incident linked to a large-scale distillation attack targeting Anthropic and OpenAI models. As a precaution, we've revoked all API keys. To keep using Command Code, log in to Studio again to generate a new key. So far, we've found no evidence that any users were impacted. We're working with Cloudflare, Anthropic, and OpenAI to investigate. We appreciate your patience and trust. 💜

graduating in 2023 with a cs degree felt like catching the last chopper out of nam nitter.cf/devchart/status/211496…
Not gonna lie. After using claude code for a while, I honestly am happy I graduated as a software engineer a decade ago instead of 2026. Now, a 100$ claude code subscription can easily replace all entry level positions at most companies. The job market is going to be rough..
