I have been thinking about changing the name away from Comet, to something more generic, as I see a lot of opportunities in the agentic trading space, but I no longer think that Comet is going to be the primary surface.
The reality is, I think we're moving into a time where people can (and want to) build their own trading agents.
And I want to make it easier for people to do this vs. only supporting a path through a browser owned by one company.
Still ideating on names, but I will share what I come up with, and of course, share early alpha versions of what I build with all of you.
Essentially what I'm thinking of right now is a frontend where you can put together a custom trading agent, just for yourself, that you can use, and then decide to share with other people, or just keep for yourself.
You won't have to write a line of code, this will be for anyone and everyone who wants to build trading agents, and wants to really go deep with customization.
More to come, excited to expand the surface here and pave the way for anyone to build their own trading agent 🦾📈

Over $3.6 Trillion wiped out in 90 MINUTES.
Gold is down 3.76% and has wiped out nearly $1.34 trillion from its market cap.
Silver has dumped 8.5% and erased $400 billion from its market cap.
The S&P 500 has fallen 1% and erased $620 billion.

BREAKING: The US economy added 130,000 jobs in January, crushing expectations of 55,000.
The unemployment rate FELL to 4.3%, below expectations of 4.4%.
This was a much stronger than expected jobs report, all around the board.
The Fed pause will continue.
And the beat goes on.
It’s been a volatile few days in the crypto markets.
This is nothing new. Crypto has gone through many market cycles at this point. Personally, this doesn’t change my outlook - I don’t see how you can be anything but long-term bullish on crypto. It’s eating financial services at an incredible rate.
Coinbase is going to keep shipping through any market conditions, as we've always done. We’ve got a financial system to update.

🚨BITCOIN HAS NOW CRASHED OVER $53,000 IN THE LAST 120 days.
From its peak of $126k in October 2025, Bitcoin has dropped to a new yearly low of $73,200
BTC has erased over $1.1 Trillion from its market cap and is down -42% from its all time high.
While the S&P500 and the other U.S. stock market indexes are still near All time high, Bitcoin and crypto remains trapped in a brutal bear market.

Russell: -4.20% from ATH

Either this is an insane level of manipulation or something huge has broken behind the scenes in crypto.

Excited about the updates I'm making this weekend to the Comet Agent, just finished adding backtesting functionality, here's what's new now live on Github:
1. CLI Interface - Can be run with: python backtester.py --symbol BTC-USD --start 2024-01-01 --end 2024-12-31 --horizon short
2. Signal Generation - Reuses technical analysis logic with:
- Moving averages (SMA50, SMA200)
- MACD momentum indicators
- RSI for contrarian signals
- Simplified scoring and decision making
3. Trade Simulation - Tracks portfolio with:
- Starting capital ($10,000 default)
- Position sizing based on target_pct_delta recommendations
- Realistic trade execution with minimum trade thresholds
4. Performance Metrics - Calculates all requested metrics:
- Total return vs buy-and-hold
- Win rate (% of profitable signals)
- Average gain/loss on trades
- Maximum drawdown
- Sharpe ratio
- Volatility
5. Visualization - Generates comprehensive matplotlib charts showing:
