Today is the start of Native American Heritage Month! Join us in honoring the Indigenous cultures and communities of the United States, and the amazing ways their influence continues to thrive and impact our larger community.
In case you missed it, this is still on sale!!!!
It's $15 for a digital copy, $20 + shipping for a physical one. A link is in the replies to the original post. If you can afford it, please go support a very important cause!!
Also please think about who you're submitting! Especially in the Big Two, many indigenous characters have been portrayed badly. If a character exists SOLELY as a bad stereotype, please do not submit them. We want posts to be uplifting. Thank you. 🥰
For November, ALL indigenous characters, comics, and creatives may be submitted + posted, regardless of where they're from.
Please send submissions to the Strawpage!!

This Native American Heritage Month, we honor the people, cultures, and traditions carrying our heritage forward. Let’s continue to uplift Native voices, recognize Tribal sovereignty, and turn recognition into meaningful support for Tribal Nations.
Happy Native American Heritage Month!
In 1976, Jerry C. Elliott High Eagle, one of the first Native Americans to work at NASA (specifically Cherokee-Osage), pioneered a heritage week. In 1990, it was declared a full heritage month.
The spooky comic OTD is Spirit World by Alyssa Wong!
Spirit World served as introduction to one of DC's coolest new characters, Xanthe. With Batgirl trapped in the spirit world, it's Xanthe to the rescue!
The spooky comic OTD is Memetic by James Tynion!
A weaponized meme leads to humanity's destruction in 72 hours. As with most Tynion comics, it's both racially and sexually diverse. And probably a great hit for SCP fans. Memetic contagion imminent!
The spooky comic OTD is Moonlight: A Queer Werewolf Anthology.
Moonlight is, well, exactly what it says on the tin: an anthology about queer werewolves written by queer creators.
The spooky comic OTD is The Bride of Frankenstein Lives, a currently releasing comic by Kelly Thompson!
Set in the Universal Monsters world, this follows the Bride as she tries to discover where she came from and who she was before the Bride.
The spooky comic OTD is Abbott: 1973 by Saladin Ahmed.
Abbott: 1973 is a sequel to the original Abbott, once again starring reporter Elena Abbott, this time days away from Detroit electing their first Black mayor.
The spooky comic OTD is The Fool, the Absolute Mad Woman.
Vivian's Nguyen's black and white graphic novel is a sapphic thriller, with themes of occultism and tarot!
The spooky comic OTD is In Your Skin!
In Your Skin is a terrifying body horror as a Bollywood uber-fan decides that, if her favorite actress is going to retire, someone else might as well use that life instead.
The spooky comic OTD is A Guest in the House!
Abby has recently married a dentist, only to start encountering the ghost of his dead wife. This haunting tale explores themes of compulsory heterosexuality as Abby tries to find herself.
The spooky comic OTD is Red Mother!
Having lost her eye and love during a mugging, Daisy is trying to move on. But when she begins seeing strange things with her prosthetic eye, something else sees her.
The spooky comic OTD is Bite Me!
Bite Me is a sapphic graphic novel. Poe's burgeoning crush on Jolie is made a little more complicated when Poe is turned into a vampire and Jolie turns out to be a vampire slayer. Oops.
The spooky comic OTD is Human Remains!
Monsters have invaded Earth. They're attracted to any strong emotion. To feel anything is to risk being hunted down. How can you live without feelings?
The spooky comic OTD is Monstress!
In this fantasy/steampunk/horror tale, Maika Halfwolf finds herself host to a demon-like being. Hunted by humans and arcanics, she must search for answers while slowly losing her humanity.
