44.4% of WooCommerce stores pass Core Web Vitals. For Shopify it's 86.9%.
That's from theweb report's crawl of 14.8M sites, and it looks initially like an uncomfortable number.
But once you look a bit closer at the data it can be mostly explained by caching.
So we've (re)built Shop Site Awards! For years @colmtroy and myself (@simontomkins) have shared great examples of eCommerce design and now we have a place where we can show them all.
Homepage, Catalogs and PDPs on desktop and mobile. And lots more stores and features to come.

Where is Shopify particularly strong in 2026?
I looked at Sidekick, Flow, Shop Pay, POS, Markets, B2B, and AI shopping channels for @CommerceGurus.
Most of the strengths are to do with having one set of store data that every tool shares

We’ve shipped a big update to our CommerceGurus Turbo performance plugin!
Our new Cart Aware Caching feature keeps product and category pages cached for guests after they add something to their cart.
They’re often still browsing, so keeping those pages fast is crucial!
This works with both page caching and Cloudflare edge caching.
The cart updates separately, and pages generated for someone with an active cart will never go into the shared cache.
We’ve written more about how it works here:

We’ve also been fixing some smaller things: early clicks while scripts load, gallery compatibility with Cloudflare Images, and PayPal reCAPTCHA.
CommerceGurus Turbo runs on our main CommerceGurus site and our Shoptimizer demo. We use it every day.

Our second Community Survey report is now live, covering feedback on Shoptimizer and CommerceKit!
Every response will help shape our roadmap.
As a small team, we're incredibly grateful to everyone who took the time to complete it ❤️

Ahead of our @DotheWoo discussion on WooCommerce themes, performance and what merchants actually need, here are a few findings from the first report in our recent CommerceGurus community survey.
A few results really stood out.
Despite those challenges, sentiment towards WooCommerce remains very positive.
60% expect to use Woo more over the next year, 37% about the same, and just 3% less.
You can check out the full report here:

We’ve just published a hands-on review of the Search & Filter Pro plugin from @rossmorsali
It was tested on a Shoptimizer store with 1,000 products, we looked at faceted filtering, search, perf, and accessibility.
For any Woo stores with larger catalogs it'd be a great fit.

Today is launch day! 🚀Feels a little weird launching a new plugin when so much of X seems negative about software dev, but I set a goal and I'm seeing it through. 280 people are getting it free through their All Access bundle. The rest gets it super cheap! studiowombat.com/plugin/prod…
