Nov 05 Closing Market Report | Closing Market Report share.transistor.fm/s/bbea98… In the November 5, 2026, edition of the Closing Market Report, host Todd Gleason covers commodity markets, yield forecasts, weed science, and agricultural weather. Kaden Sweeney of AgMarket discusses local harvest yields in east-central Illinois and anticipates a quiet November USDA crop production report, noting that soybean prices will heavily depend on Brazilian weather developments. Mike Castle from StoneX highlights their latest customer yield survey, which projects national corn and soybean yields higher than previous estimates due to surprisingly strong performance across the northern plains. University of Illinois weed scientist Aaron Hager shares details about a new regional survey assessing farmer awareness and readiness to adopt precision weed control technologies, such as optical sprayers. Finally, Mike Tannura of T-Storm Weather explains how an exceptionally strong El Niño is driving mild U.S. winter weather—likely benefiting the winter wheat crop—while currently bringing heavy spring rains to South America that are supporting their soybean crop development. 01:33 Ag Markets with Kaden Sweeney, AgMarket 08:01 StoneX November Crop Production Survey Revisions 12:09 Grower Survey on Precision Weed Control Technologies 17:26 Ag Weather with Mike Tannura, tStorm .net

Nov 04 | Closing Market Report | Closing Market Report share.transistor.fm/s/0ec2ea… With the Midwestern corn and soybean harvest virtually complete, traders are aggressively shifting their focus to next week's USDA supply and demand report. In today's Closing Market Report Greg Johnson of TGM, Total Grain Marketing, notes that while national yield estimates might increase, Illinois corn yields are tracking noticeably lower, leaving soybeans with considerably more downside price risk than corn. Next month, producers must finalize their ARC and PLC safety net decisions by a December 11th deadline, with University of Illinois experts currently favoring ARC-County for most corn and soybean acres. Looking globally, Drew Lerner of World Weather Incorporated reports that while Argentina is soaking up favorable El Nino rains, central Brazil and Russia's southern winter wheat regions are still struggling with lingering dryness. 01:58 Ag Markets with Greg Johnson, TGM Total Grain Marketing 12:08 ARC / PLC decision for the crop just harvested due December 11 13:31 Ag Weather with Drew Lerner, World Weather Inc

Nov 03 | Closing Market Report | Closing Market Report share.transistor.fm/s/59bbf4… The November 3, 2026, edition of the Closing Market Report features analysis from Naomi Blohm on recent large U.S. corn export sales to Mexico, which historical data suggests could signal a market bottom and precede upcoming price rallies. Adam Wattson then details his Champaign County farm's transition to strip-till agriculture, explaining how the practice has reduced his equipment costs, altered his nitrogen management to liquid-only applications, and maintained yield consistency. Following this, Don Day provides a weather outlook, noting that a remarkably quiet and mild Pacific air mass across the U.S. will keep soil temperatures too warm for immediate fall anhydrous ammonia applications, while northern South America faces stormy conditions. The program concludes with a memorial tribute to Dale Orville Helms, a distinguished University of Illinois animal sciences alumnus. 01:36 Ag Markets with Naomi Blohm, Total Farm Marketing 09:19 Strip Till Transition, a farmer conversation 18:57 Ag Weather with Don Day, Day Weather 21:38 Remembering Dale Helms

Oct 29 | Commodity Week | Commodity Week share.transistor.fm/s/ceb44d… This episode of Commodity Week, hosted by Todd Gleason, features agricultural market analysts Shane Holtorf and Garrett Toay discussing fall harvest progress and current market conditions. The guests report that the soybean harvest is largely wrapping up with average to better-than-expected yields, while corn yields are highly variable and somewhat disappointing compared to early summer expectations. The panel attributes recent drops in commodity prices to the USDA's surprising October crop report—which unexpectedly raised corn yields—and subsequent heavy selling by fund managers, compounded by broader geopolitical events like the Brazilian and upcoming U.S. elections. To navigate these market headwinds, Toay and Holtorf advise producers to avoid panic selling, utilize on-farm storage to lock in market carries, and remain patient for future pricing opportunities. Oct 22 | Commodity Week | Commodity Week share.transistor.fm/s/a4d4e3… In this October 22 edition of Commodity Week, host Todd Gleason and panelists Ted Seifried and Mike Castle examine the recent sluggish price action in the corn and soybean markets. The conversation highlights a recent surge in U.S. export sales largely driven by Chinese purchases and an unexpected flash sale to Spain, though the analysts express concern over lagging non-China global demand. Domestically, they emphasize that robust soybean crush demand, fueled heavily by the biofuel sector, has maintained unexpectedly strong basis levels during the harvest window. The panel concludes by evaluating how macroeconomic factors, such as inflation and Federal Reserve interest rate policies, alongside South American weather conditions, will likely dictate future commodity price movements.
