The Compound Governance Support Working Group has posted an important update on the status of Compound Governance, highlighting a recent surge in delegation to a handful of delegates. We also share more details on the upcoming Delegate Race, aimed at further securing @compgovernance in light of recent events.

Introducing the Compound Delegate Race 🏁
As part of the Compound Governance Support Working Group with @AranaVentures and @PGovTeam, we're thrilled to propose a delegate race to boost governance participation at @compgovernance.
This initiative aims to allocate 250k COMP from the treasury to strengthen the delegate ecosystem and enhance governance processes.
Our first proposal outlines the initial details of the program, including the source of the COMP, delegate qualifications, and other parameters. Future proposals will address delegate rewards and a call for new delegates.
Delegates are the cornerstone of any mature decentralized protocol. Through this proposal, we aim to formalize the Compound Delegate Program as a significant step towards enhancing governance at Compound.
