♻️ It’s Recycle Week 2026!
For anyone new to the conversation, Recycle Week is the UK’s biggest annual moment for supporting people to recycle more, delivered through our Recycle Now campaign.
This year, we’re bringing together local authorities, businesses, organisations and communities across the UK to help more people rescue their recyclables from the bin.
When it comes to recycling, it turns out the UK public have developed some very interesting bin etiquette...
🗑️ 65% say they have a dedicated ‘bin putter-outer’
🤸♂️ 33% have climbed into the bin to make more room for rubbish or recycling
🚛 17% have chased a bin lorry to avoid missing their collection
That enthusiasm extends beyond bin day, with 89% of UK households saying they regularly recycle. But fewer people today feel recycling is worthwhile compared to 2021.
Throughout Recycle Week, we’re helping to build trust in recycling and prove the value of people’s efforts.
If you’re interested in getting involved, our Recycle Week Toolkit has everything you need to bring the campaign to life. Download it, share your activity and tag us so we can see what you get up to. We’ll be sharing some of our favourites later this week!

Schools out! 🎉
We marked the end of a busy year in waste education by welcoming St Anne's School to take part in one of our brand-new workshops 'Design it Out!' at EcoPark House. It has been a productive year with hundreds of children brushing up on their waste reduction and recycling skills.
We look forward to welcoming new schools from September.
