No amount of thanking Mumbai Indians is enough for appointing Robin Uthappa as their batting coach. I was afraid CSK might appoint him, but now that Mumbai Indians have signed him, at least we won’t see him at CSK anymore 😂

People like Shubhankar Mishra spend the entire year abusing Pakistan and speaking against it. They criticize Team India for playing against Pakistan and target the BCCI over it. But now, for views and money, they sit in Dubai, invite Pakistani cricketers to their podcasts, interview them, and have conversations with them. At that point, do they suddenly forget about the India-Pakistan issue?

I don’t think any player in Indian cricket has been treated as unfairly as Ruturaj Gaikwad. He has been dropped from the team even after performing well. He scored runs for India in T20Is and was in good form, yet he was still dropped. In ODIs, he barely got any opportunities, even when he was scoring century after century in domestic cricket. At one point, Ruturaj was even considered a backup opener for India’s Test team. But players like Yashasvi Jaiswal, Sai Sudharsan, and Devdutt Padikkal were given opportunities ahead of him, while Ruturaj is still waiting to make his Test debut. Just look at how unfairly one player can be treated. First, he performed well in T20Is but was dropped. Now, even after performing well in ODIs, he isn’t getting consistent opportunities. He is a natural opener, yet when he gets a chance in ODIs, he is made to bat at No. 4 instead of his preferred position. And he isn’t even being selected for the Test team. Indian cricket seems to be doing everything possible to waste the potential of a talented player like Ruturaj Gaikwad.

If Yashasvi Jaiswal had played as many matches as Abhishek Sharma, he would probably have more hundreds and runs than Abhishek today. In an attempt to make him focus on Test cricket, he was kept away from T20s, and ultimately, a talented player ended up suffering. Today, he isn’t even part of India’s T20 team despite being such a talented player who plays T20 cricket the way it should be played. The same Yashasvi Jaiswal who was groomed by Rohit Sharma and Rahul Dravid and taken to the 2024 T20 World Cup as a backup opener is now nowhere to be seen in India’s T20 team. Rahul Dravid helped build him as a player, but under Gautam Gambhir’s coaching, it feels like his career is being pushed towards a dead end. Vaibhav Sooryavanshi was brought into the team ahead of him, while Abhishek Sharma and Sanju Samson were given opportunities before that. How unfair can things get for one player? Jaiswal situation today is a perfect example of how a talented cricketer can be sidelined despite his potential.

People in India, including journalists, are so hypocritical. When Rohit Sharma plays, they cry about giving Yashasvi Jaiswal a chance and insist that he deserves a place in the team. But after watching just one innings from Abhishek Sharma, they suddenly want him to open in ODIs, arguing that the 10 over powerplay could benefit him. So, are they seriously suggesting dropping Jaiswal without even giving him a proper chance? Some journalists these days are clearly showing favoritism instead of being fair and unbiased.

Sport Tak never talks about the IPL because they think their platform is too big to cover IPL trade news. Vikrant Gupta doesn’t seem interested in discussing the IPL, especially when his team, Punjab Kings, keeps losing. Instead of talking about the IPL and other teams, there’s always something else to discuss. He can’t seem to digest it when other players or teams get praised. Just watch Sport Tak: they’ll talk about Pakistan, run agendas against Virat Kohli and Rohit Sharma, or repeatedly target Gautam Gambhir. These are the topics they keep bringing up again and again.

The moment Hardik Pandya joins CSK, he should be made captain. I want Ruturaj to continue as captain for another year, but his batting seems to suffer under the pressure of captaincy. CSK should hand over the captaincy to Hardik and let Ruturaj focus on his batting and score runs for the team. 💛

India should try Abhishek Sharma at No. 6 in ODIs in place of Axar Patel. He can bowl 6–7 overs and also play the role of a finisher down the order. Team India should definitely try this option.

Rohit Juglan is a journalist who keeps changing his stance every other day. One day, he sends Hardik Pandya to CSK, then KKR, and later RR. That’s his usual game. If he actually knows something, at least one of his predictions should turn out to be right. He throws out different rumours and then, at the last moment, claims, “I reported this news first.” That’s how he operates.

MS Dhoni used to smash RCB left and right in his prime, and even at 45, he can still do it. Winning 4–5 matches against CSK doesn’t make you their equal. RCB had players like AB de Villiers, Virat Kohli and Chris Gayle, yet they couldn’t achieve much. RCB were a joke of a team, and their captain was a choker. RCB are winning today because Rajat Patidar is the captain. Make Virat Kohli the captain again, and they won’t even win 4 matches in the entire season because captaincy isn’t his thing. RCB fans are so delusional that no matter how much you try to explain things to them, they’ll never understand. 😂
