If we react to their violence with meaningless violence, they will enact martial law and fully be a fascist state, making it even harder to form institutions outside of the system. The violence has to mean something, it has to be targeted, and there has to be plans for after it

The French have specific grievances that they were striking over and now protesting about, once their demands began to get met the protests will cease and they will move on from there. We would be fighting back right now just to fight back with no real goal in mind, pointless
