It's an indictment of our city that traffic collision and fatality numbers have "recovered" faster than transit ridership did after COVID, and all we can offer to solve this problem without it being labelled a war on cars is telling people to be more careful.
This morning, I attended a press conference at City Hall to highlight the importance of road safety in our community and across Ottawa.
With 32 lives already lost on Ottawa’s roads this year, it’s a serious reminder that we all have a responsibility to keep our streets safe.
Please put your phones down, stay focused on the road, slow down and be mindful of those around you. No text or phone call is worth someone’s life.
Thank you to Mayor Mark Sutcliffe for his leadership on this important issue and to our first responders for their continued dedication to keeping our communities safe.

Ce matin, j’ai assisté à une conférence de presse à l’hôtel de ville pour souligner l’importance de la sécurité routière dans notre communauté et partout à Ottawa.
Avec déjà 32 personnes ayant perdu la vie sur les routes d’Ottawa cette année, c’est un rappel important que nous avons tous un rôle à jouer pour assurer la sécurité de nos rues.
Je vous invite à ranger vos téléphones, à rester attentifs à la route, à ralentir et à faire attention aux personnes qui vous entourent. Aucun texto ni appel ne vaut une vie.

Also, for Grysk vs Vong stories, one of the overriding themes of NJO is "we should be helping the refugees even though Yuuzhan Vong sometimes pose as them" while the Ascendancy Trilogy has Grysk as "look at the aliens sneaking in as refugees to take our planets, let's get 'em"

I haven't played Galactic Racer but while the game looks really good, the lack of custom lobbies is definitely a huge downside for me considering most of how I expected to play the game involved custom lobbies.
The Marg Sabl is one of the most misunderstood things in Star Wars. The turning of the ship was explicitly not the Marg Sabl element, the Marg Sabl is the fighter closure. Turning the ship was Thrawn's twist on it *before* doing the Marg Sabl.
