10 वर्ष पहले पुणे मेट्रो के पहले चरण का शिलान्यास करने का अवसर मिला था। आज हिंजेवाड़ी से शिवाजीनगर के बीच मेट्रो सेवा शुरू होने से पुणे के IT हब को बेहतर कनेक्टिविटी मिलेगी।
इसके साथ ही नई मेट्रो लाइन के निर्माण से शहर के पुराने और नए क्षेत्रों के बीच आवागमन और सुगम होगा।
मेट्रो का यह विस्तार न केवल यात्रा को आसान बनाएगा, बल्कि पुणे के विकास, आर्थिक गतिविधियों और बेहतर शहरी परिवहन को भी नई दिशा देगा।

Should a business pursue financial profit at any cost? Professor Jeffrey D. Sachs says absolutely not.
At the Varanasi symposium, he argued that companies must consider where profits come from, what risks are involved and what costs are imposed on others.
Drawing attention to the Adani Group and the responsibility of carrying a family name, he stressed that businesses must ask what they give back to society.
His larger message applies to every enterprise: business is not merely an economic entity. It is also a moral entity, with a responsibility towards society.

The argument about protecting productive processes sounds incomplete when it ignores the human cost of the existing system. Who bears the burden of poor sanitation, contaminated water, disease risks and unsafe housing? It is the residents themselves.
Adani's redevelopment proposal aims to combine rehabilitation housing with dedicated industrial and commercial spaces. Its 2022 winning bid included an initial investment commitment of approximately ₹5,069 crore.
Dharavi supports an estimated $1–1.5 billion informal economy, with around 1 million people living in just 2–2.5 sq km. When 80+ people share a toilet seat, preserving the existing conditions cannot be called neutral preservation.
Why should workers continue paying the price of inadequate infrastructure just to protect an idealised version of informality??
Dharavi is not a slum but a dynamic, self-organising ecosystem of labour-intensive production. Planned “redevelopment” risks fragmenting its labour networks and leaving an empty shell.
