I wanted to show how important technology is to farming these days, and how it saves time. With the drone I’m able to identify the problem, and also be in two places at once. I can walk the pivot to get it back in line while watching what I’m doing as well.#AgTwitter
Go like and retweet to help a future Arkansas Rice farmer! @RiceArkansas

It’s common practice for Arkansas rice farmers to rotate crops between years in each field. The rotation is done in order to maximize yields for every field. Also, crop rotation helps with weed control and preserves herbicide integrity. The rotation with what crop and how many…
Technology is 100% the future of rice farming. With the drone following me around the field I’m able to see many things I couldn’t on the ground level. I can see weed patches, high spots rice isn’t getting water at, and many more things. Drones are also being used to…
spray rice now . It has become common practice to spray rice levees with drones now in Arkansas. Using a drone to spray eliminates the factor of having to rebuild the end of a levee after spraying it with a modified ground rig. Also, with remote technology such as the camera on..
the phone, a farmer can see what is going on with his operation even when they’re not present in the field. @RiceArkansas @cornwarriorstv @JohnDeere #arricereps23 #RiceReps23 #rice #AgTwitter
As the days of rice harvest wind down, Arkansas rice farmers have a lot going on. In this video there is a broken header being repaired , one combine running, two grain carts running, and two Diamond harrows running. This is all in one field. Time is valuable to rice farmers.
The more that can be done at once, the more efficient for Arkansas rice farmers. @RiceArkansas @cornwarriorstv @JohnDeere #arricereps23 #RiceReps23 #AgTwitter #Rice
Rice harvest is upon us here in NEA. Here’s some clips of the @JohnDeere X9 1000 going to work. #arricereps23 #RiceReps23 #AgTwitter #rice @RiceArkansas @cornwarriorstv
Before harvesting rice, most rice farmers pick their Polly pipe up that’s used to irrigate the rice. This is the machine that the task gets done with. The shaft I show in the video has a slit in it that you slide the pipe in. You then slide the shaft all the way to the right to
catch the pipe. The shaft spins to pick up the pipe as you drive over it. The pipe is picked up to keep trash out of the field and to keep the pipe from getting in the combine header. @RiceArkansas @cornwarriorstv @JohnDeere #arricereps23 #RiceReps23 #AgTwitter #rice
As the rice fields here in Arkansas get close to harvest ready you might have noticed the plants turning a gold color. This is a result of the rice being “chlorated”. That’s the practice of salt being dropped from an airplane onto the rice. By doing this, farmers can harvest…
