When you have no plan and no vision, you run on fear. That’s what the NDP Olivia Chow campaign is doing right now.

If we want to change the city, we have to change the mayor.
Vote on October 26 to get Toronto unstuck.

A tale of two campaigns: our canvass teams are out there talking about our positive message. @BradMBradford vision for Toronto.
Chow’s side: uses precious volunteer hours to spread fear, lies and misinformation. They’ve got nothing to campaign “on” so they’re only campaigning “against”. And where they have nothing to campaign against, they make it up.

Torontonians tend to trust their institutions. Most of us like our municipal politics sleepy.
But this year, something is different. A fast-growing number of people have noticed that basic services aren’t performing, and they no longer trust our institutions to get the job done.
The TTC, public safety, affordability for the basics.
Something is no longer aligned, and it starts in the mayor’s office.
Will Toronto vote for change? Will Toronto vote for Brad Bradford?

It has come to my attention that I have been denounced by @Advocates_Soc for criticizing judicial decisions — and yes, individual judges.
Here's the thing. When someone, for example, spends her lawyerly career writing op-eds in favour of migration and calling herself an activist, and then becomes a federal judge, and from that seat allows all sorts of undesirables to remain in Canada on weak grounds, people are free to draw a connection from A to B.
When a judge, for example, spends his lawyer years advocating fiercely for more race-based law, and then later throws out gun charges of black men on his (unsupported) assertion that police were racist during their arrests, people are free to question whether he's really a fair adjudicator.
When a judge, for example, says that a ban on drug trafficking is unconstitutional, and then *applauds* vigilante drug dealers for their self-proclaimed safe supply program — applauds them for supporting the business of organized crime and feeding the addictions of street people — that's beyond the pale. You're worried about democracy being poisoned? Worry about the judge who threw out Parliament's law against selling heroin because she felt it was "common sense" that it was supported by science.
I agree that it's not right to criticize a judge personally for impartially applying the law and coming to an unpopular decision (which they may even privately disagree with). But when their professional history, or their conduct in court, suggests allegiance to a cause that they happen to be ruling softly on, it will get noticed.
Bringing the administration of justice into disrepute is a two-way street, you know.

Well, here we go again.
And after what happened with our last dine-and-dash, I somehow don’t think these guys’ grandmas are going to come down and make them pay their bill. 📷
These three guys came into Andrea’s, ate a ton of food, ran up a bill of about $200 and then walked out without paying.
Their little trick was ordering dessert. They told us they were going to eat their dessert and would pay in a few minutes. Then, one by one, they got up and left.
This shit is happening more and more, and I really don’t understand what’s happened to people.
You go into a restaurant, you order food, people cook it for you, serve you and clean up after you — you pay your damn bill. Pretty simple.
Whatever happened to having some respect? Respect for the people working, respect for somebody’s business, or just enough respect for yourself not to pull shit like this.
So, a heads-up to all my friends in the restaurant business, owners, managers and servers around Langley — keep an eye out for these guys.
And if anyone does know their grandmas... maybe give them a call.
