Member Spotlight 🌟 Meet Irene Patrikios 👋 Huge congrats to Introduction member @crypto_irene on her promotion to Chief Business Officer at @zama, after serving as VP of BD & Partnerships. → Previously VP of BD & Partnerships at Zama → Former Director, Strategic Partnerships at @Optimism → Former Head of Ecosystem Success at RootstockLabs Almost twelve years in crypto. Every cycle, every boom, every rebuild of trust after. At Optimism she drove Tier-1 partnerships with Uniswap, Kraken, Sony and Worldcoin. She joined Zama right before mainnet on a simple bet: confidentiality is the infrastructure that brings institutions onchain. When a member wins, we all win. Congrats Irene 👇

Very excited to be a part of this effort and build standards for institutional onchain finance alongside the teams actually doing the work. Zama brings compliance onchain through confidential tokens - selective disclosure at the protocol level, without giving up composability or verifiability, ensuring to preserve the value of what public chains enable. Any regulated business operating onchain needs Zama and standards is how we get blockchains to go from an RnD project to financial infra. Congratulations to the team and excited to contribute!
Zama joins the Open Transaction Layer (OTL) as a founding partner. OTL is an industry initiative building reference protocols for identity, messaging, and transaction coordination across institutions, unhosted wallets, and agents. Zama brings confidentiality to onchain transactions through FHE, keeping amounts and balances encrypted on public blockchains with full verifiability and programmable compliance. As a founding partner, Zama will help shape open standards for secure, compliant, and confidential onchain finance. Learn more: otl.network

I’m very excited and honored, to announce that I’ve been named Chief Business Officer at @zama . I’ve spent almost twelve years in crypto. I’ve watched it go from a fringe experiment to something institutions can no longer ignore, through every cycle, every boom, every collapse, every slow rebuild of trust after. One gap never closed through any of it - blockchains ask every institution, every business, every person to run their finances in the open. That was never going to be what brings real money onchain at scale. I joined Zama in November 2025, right before mainnet, because I believe confidentiality is the infrastructure that finally makes that possible - Zama makes it possible. It’s the bridge that lets the institutions holding the world’s capital actually move onchain. This past year our business team signed partnerships across major players, launched confidential DeFi, and built a pipeline that holds up against anything else in this space. That work has been a game-changer putting Zama at the forefront, showcasing what confidentiality can bring to the table and what the new internet of tomorrow could look like at scale. @randhindi and the board are putting real weight behind where this team can take Zama next. I feel that responsibility. Thank you to Rand, to the board and to every person at Zama who makes this real every day. Now, let's go win!

A few people yesterday asked how AI could impact FHE / @zama, so here is a quick tldr: 1. There is no evidence that lattices / FHE can be broken by AI, SI or quantum. If anything, there is a growing consensus that fully breaking lattices might imply P = NP. 2. However, it's almost certain that better attacks will be discovered, which would require increasing parameter size and taking a short-term hit on performance. The Zama protocol is modular, so we can increase parameters size or swap out any component quickly, without changing the UX or rotating user keys. 3. Zama uses FHE only for privacy, so breaking FHE would not allow stealing funds that are shielded, it would only allow seeing balances and amounts. This is unlike ZK, where breaking the cryptography means you can steal funds and mint infinite tokens. 4. We do a lot of work on cryptanalysis and improving the security of FHE. We spend millions a year on audits (AI and human), research grants, bounties, have 30 PhDs in the team, etc. We have a plan A (the current thing we do), but also a plan B and a plan C if things go wrong. Whatever the future throws at us, we will have a way to adapt to offer the same service. 5. Hashes have been broken in the past, many times (MD5, SHA1, etc), so saying they are more secure than lattices, which have been extensively studied for decades is a stretch to say the least. Not saying its impossible, but history is on the side of lattices here. Lets also remember that if indeed lattices and elliptic curves are broken and there is no public-key encryption anymore, then hiding your balances onchain is the least of your worries, because the world as we know it would be over: no private communications, no online banking, your AI prompts would be public, etc.

If you missed my Keynote today, you can catch it below. Tldr - the missing layer in the vault stack is here and together with that, Zama is building the tools and ecosystem to bring trillions on chain 🔥 ENCRYPT THE MONEY
Irene Patrikios (@crypto_irene) of @zama on confidentiality as the missing layer in the vault stack. In her model, the allocator’s position is private, the curator’s strategy stays public, and auditors or regulators can be given access. Listen to her keynote here.

Great perspective from @crypto_irene's presentation at @Vault__Summit today. The vault stack keeps evolving: Vault 1.0: One contract, one strategy. Vault 2.0: Modular infrastructure, curators, and distribution. Vault 3.0: Confidentiality. What's interesting about Vault 3.0 is that it doesn't require rebuilding the existing stack. Vaults keep their infrastructure. Curators keep running their strategies. Frontends keep their users. The new layer built by @zama allows allocators to hold confidential vault shares, with encrypted balances that remain verifiable, composable, and compliance-ready. The question is no longer why we should, but WHY NOT? Why not move to a confidential vault stack? It's live, trusted by users, and scaling fast.

Everyone keeps talking about the trillions coming onchain - that capital won't arrive while every position, entry and exit is public. The vault stack has a new layer. Tomorrow I'll walk everyone through what we've built at @zama and why we got to $100M+ shielded so far in just 2 weeks after launch 🔥 New era of Yield is here!
Irene Patrikios (@crypto_irene), SVP BD and Partnerships at @zama, will take the stage at Vault Summit Singapore with the keynote: "Confidential Yield: Unlocking Institutional Onchain Finance". Full agenda: vaultsummit.xyz/agenda
