BREAKING: US Senator Chris Murphy hospitalized following a stroke, per his office.
This comes just days after being briefed on highly classified military planning on Iran to restart the war after the midterms, where he called Trump's plan "insane."
"I will just say this: their plan is insane. It will lead to devastating escalation and the likely destruction of our commitment to the rule of law," he said four days ago.

October is in the books
SPY lost 1%
QQQ lost 7%
RSP up 4.5% (flat over 2 months)
SOXX lost 18%
IGV lost 3.6%
Energy led (of course), gaining 14% followed by consumer staples (up 11%) and all other sectors were in the green outside of tech (lost 8.3%) and comms (lost 10%). Pretty aggressive rotation in October leading into the midterms this week and ahead of Anthropic's (expected) IPO this month. Historically November's a strong month (averaging over 4% return in SPX going back to 2021 and even slightly higher looking back 10 years) but this clearly isn’t going to be your average November
QQQ is still up 12.5% YTD and SOXX is up 57% YTD. I don't know where we end up by year-end but I’d say probably not here. Take no gains for granted
Anthropic - SpaceXAI relationship seems to be shaping up a lot better than OpenAI - Oracle.
Breaking down Anthropic’s 3Q26 inference costs, we can see that SpaceX captured the vast majority of the incremental spend, while AWS, GCP, and, to a lesser extent, Azure captured just $820 million combined. This makes it hard not to speculate that Anthropic renegotiated compute pricing with its cloud providers in 3Q26, weighing on AWS’s and GCP’s growth.

Later today, we are officially ending all remaining support for the Iron Fish network.
A few days ago, we observed abnormal activity involving wIRON and the ChainPort bridge. After working with ChainPort and reviewing their logs, we discovered that the cause was an inflation bug in the Iron Fish blockchain itself.
We traced the bug to a commit from early 2019 in the Merkle tree implementation. The developer at the time implemented a standard Merkle tree. However, because of nuances in how a note’s nullifier is calculated (the mechanism that lets a normal user spend their funds), the attacker was able to spend the same note more than once.
The attacker then compounded the exploit, aggregated their notes, and exited through the ChainPort bridge. This code path was within the scope of both our external and internal audits, but the bug wasn’t caught during review.
For closure, we’ve committed the patch for the exploit, with a detailed postmortem included in the PR, before shutting down and archiving the ironfish repo.
The meta-analysis here is that software that can’t be upgraded immediately (most of crypto), is in an extremely precarious position. The ability to find and exploit vulnerabilities in technically complex code is becoming commoditized. Safety guardrails on US frontier models make it difficult for companies to use them to patch security vulnerabilities, while abliterated open-source models are approaching frontier capabilities.
We wish everyone all the best, and we hope crypto finds a path through this.
Thank you all.
