Venezuela needs our help. The most effective way to do that right now is donations.
I’ve linked the organizations that I’ve personally donated to below.
Bitcoin: @PakoVM has set up a bitcoin donation page here pagos.dinerosinreglas.com/ap…
GoFundMe: gofundme.com/f/emergency-rel…

The dollar doesn't need to die for Bitcoin to hit $2 million.
Ledn co-founder Mauricio Di Bartolomeo says the dollar will keep losing zeros, the way Venezuela's currency lost 14, and send Bitcoin higher
"In Venezuela, you know how many zeros they wiped off the currency in my lifetime alone? 14."
"So people say, oh, the dollar's going to die. The dollar's not going to die. They're going to reset the zeros, change the person on the bill and load it right back out. That's what they do when the zeros get out of control."
"That's why people say Bitcoin can get to $2 million. 100%, it can get to $2 million, because what'll happen between now and then is that they'll just wipe zeros. In today's dollars, it'll get there."
"By that point, it might be the strong dollar, and it'll only be a thousand strong dollars. But that thousand strong dollars will be a million of today's dollars. That's just, in my experience, how it played out in Venezuela, and every fiat currency has the same dynamics."

You can't be the biggest, fastest, and most secure exchange all at once.
Ledn co-founder Mauricio Di Bartolomeo says the Binance hack shows why exchanges shouldn't act as their own sole custodian
"You hit a very important point, which is one of the really structural or strategic reasons why Ledn decided to work with qualified custodians, as opposed to building our own qualified custodian."
"We work with multiple custodians, Fidelity, BitGo, Anchorage, etc., because we believe that allows us to lean on the work of professionals that are regulated, that are doing the right thing, and allows us to diversify."
"In the case of Binance, they were their only custodian. They hold all of their assets in one. A mistake is basically, you see what happened."
"It's really hard to be everything for everybody. You cannot try to be the biggest exchange that allows for the largest withdrawals processed in the fastest time, and also try to be the most secure. Those things all come at odds with each other."

The biggest hack in crypto history landed at the worst possible political moment.
Ledn co-founder Mauricio Di Bartolomeo says the Binance hack could give Democrats strong leverage to make the Clarity Act more restrictive
"The setup that we got is we're turning the House and the Senate over to the Democrats, who historically had been not in favor of passing or enshrining some of these things into law."
"You're doing this in the context of the largest hack our industry has ever seen, where the assets that were stolen were literally being laundered through these permissionless protocols, many of which are the ones that you're looking to get exemptions for, or criteria established for, around the Clarity Act."
"The combination of those two things makes it very unlikely that it's going to stay written as is. Some of the exemptions or flexibility that was trying to be built in, I think that's going to get reversed, actually."
"You just got back this authority in the midst of a Binance hack, with evidence that all of this has been flowing through these decentralized protocols. Oh, boy. You've got a lot of political ammunition."

Good move from @hodlwithLedn
From 9 Nov, if a bitcoin-backed loan hits 80% LTV, they won't close it any more. They sell just enough bitcoin to bring it back to 65%, and the loan stays open.
On top of that:
No margin calls, ever
Auto Top-Up from bitcoin you already hold
Repay any time, no early repayment penalty
No liquidation or top-up fee, and a 0.5% spread only on bitcoin actually sold
If you plan to hold for a decade and borrow against it, this is how a lender should work.
My view, not advice.

E o pior: fomos acostumados a terceirizar responsabilidades.

I roll this way.
I had an emergency come up last year and needed about 5k quick. I used Ledn to do a BTC backed loan, and my money in less than 24hrs. My loan is due at the end of next month and I have paid most of it back over the last year. I will get my ₿ back, 10/10 would do again.

Had a couple now. <24 hours from application to money in the bank. Pay nothing for 12 months. It’s incredibly advantageous versus traditional banking loans. No credit checks, don’t have to speak or deal with any annoying humans. 😂
I use @hodlwithLedn nothing but good experiences with them.
