Comms is pretty straightforward department in an operation, until an unplanned event happens. Big ups to the team at @binance Showing how the game should be played fr.

There's a pattern in DeFi coverage that bothers me, specifically for the chains that take themselves seriously. The content never matches the engineering. Enterprise-grade consensus, real governance, measurable throughput, actual compliance work. Then a Twitter feed full of rocket emojis and vaguely-sourced APY numbers. It should be the other way around. Serious infrastructure deserves serious coverage.

“Crypto” is still a red flag, and adding “backed by a16z crypto” to our website and X actually did more harm than good. We scrapped it a long time ago." This was said by @BrianInCrypto, the co-founder of Glider finance. What this signals to me is that we are gradually leaving the phase of using partnerships as a lever for gaining trust, and we are progressing to the phase of showing proofs, results before bragging. Let's face it. Even the X algorithm doesn't favor web3 content as it used to, maybe due to the current market sentiment or whatnot. But if you're are stilll reliant on other names to push your project's brand image in this current landscape, you might be in for a net-negative. I'm not saying endorsement from entities and people of note isn't important, I'm simply saying it's no longer the crux of the trust argument.

"Just rebalance your position” is the “just learn to code” of DeFi, and this is why: Recently, a user asked us this question: "What does rebalancing mean as a layman just starting DeFi and how do I go about it?" This question is a valid ask, and people who’ve been in crypto for years forget how much work that is. For someone new, it’s often the reason money sits in a wallet earning nothing. Which is why one of our core offerings as a company is the removal of complexity for our customers and users. A share price that can be easily determined, a strategy engine that churns thousands of strategies to determine the optimal route, a low barrier to entry in terms of token type (The Yield Layer thesis); all of these are designed to make it easier for anyone to gain access to superior yield without having to become a full time analyst. If you’re new to DeFi and want your assets working without complexity, join us: link.alphayields.ai

Life as a content strategist: Week 1: "We're gaining traction across all platforms". Everyone's ecstatic. Employer: "Good job xxxx" Week 2: Employer: "Engagement's slow this week, what's happening?" Content strategist: starts going down the rabbit hole..."is it the timing, is it the hooks..." And down and down you go until you realize the content was never the problem. The algorithm was just messing with you all along. Week 3: Employer: "Engagement's rising again...don't know how you do it, but good job" Everyone's happy again, but you always knew that the quality of content was never the problem. And so the cycle continues... thecryptowraith.com/

"REDBULL GIVES YOU WINGS" One of the best marketing lines I've ever read. The reason's pretty simple. When you think of people doing the most unhinged, bat-shit crazy stuff, you know that there's definitely a can of Redbull in that clip. They've successfully gotten me to associate extraordinary human feats with their products, and sometimes I even feel like "Should I buy a can of redbull just to test this theory?". That's peak identity marketing fr fr @redbull

I don't quite agree with this, and this is my reason: Being nice isn't just a formality, it could be the thing that let's you keep someone's business over time. Unless you're insanely good, your chances of keeping that business without a nice personality is quite slim. Think of it this way. There are a lot of people with insane talent, but there can only be one version of each with different personalities. In my opinion, being nice is actually one of the parts of building a personal brand in the first place, so people remember the feeling they had when they first crossed paths with you. Which would you rather have: "he's excellent at his job, but is a nightmare to work with" Or " he's great at his job, and you will be glad you worked with him" While I'm not disputing the fact that excellence is a prerequisite for a thriving and successful business, there's also no downside to being a nice human being to your clients. P.S I read your article. It's quite insightful @yegormethod
Only poor people care about being nice If you're nice to a rich guy he will literally see you as customer service for the rest of his life Most people in business are optimizing for the completely wrong traits Your only value in a client relationship is whether him paying you has a measurable ROI on his business or his life If it does, you can do whatever the fuck you want If it doesn't, nothing you say, nothing you do & the way you act will ever fucking matter anyway In fact it's more rude to waste his time yapping about bullshit Best advice I can give you

You can tell when crypto content is written by someone who has never used the product. Its been 3+ years, and I'm just realising that I haven't once introduced myself properly. Hi, I'm Cryptowraith, a crypto content strategist, copywriter and community moderator. For nearly four years I've written for yield protocols and infrastructure teams, and for three of those years I also moderated Discord servers and Telegram groups. Content is now my full-time job. I know DeFi well enough to write about yield mechanics, stablecoin design and protocol architecture without faking it. Coinmonks has published three of my pieces on exactly that. I also know how to turn that depth into posts people actually read. If your DeFi product is serious and your content isn't, let's talk. My work: thecryptowraith.com

𝐖𝐡𝐢𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐚𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐦𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐦 𝐜𝐫𝐲𝐩𝐭𝐨 𝐚𝐝𝐨𝐩𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐰𝐞’𝐫𝐞 𝐩𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐧𝐨𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐧𝐨𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞. Let me give you context. Last Sunday, after lunch, I decided to do some light research regarding sustainable yield generation in DeFi. While I was doing this, I had a tab open to document the concepts I had explored. To be honest, I wasn't really in the mood to do it, but I just had to, because it was for a client. As I opened the first whitepaper, I immediately felt overwhelmed, not because the ideas were complex, but because the writing was. The text in themselves were not the issue, but the flow, wording were just so off-putting. You might say: "Maybe the intended audience were fellow developers or something" Alas, this was a protocol that was targeting retail users, with the hopes of reaching potential Web2 clients. The texts in the whitepaper were so technical that they just made reading it a chore, instead of being a relaxing activity. Where they could have used simple words like "Market Conditions", they used " Regime agnostic". I was left wondering if this was actually supposed to be read by regular people, or some bot somewhere. Took me about 30 minutes just to get through 3 chapters of their docs, and by the time I was done, I was so mentally exhausted, that I immediately went to bed afterwards. So my question to founders is: If your goal is to attract everyday users, why does your whitepaper read like it was written for everyone except them?

AlphaYields is now on @katana's ecosystem page. ayKAT is built on avKAT, Katana's liquid staking token, and follows the same rule as everything we ship: yield measured from share price, not borrowed from a dashboard. Find us here: app.katana.network/ecosystem

Bonds solved this a century ago. DeFi yield still can't tell you what you're actually exposed to without jumping through hoops as a layman.

Yield has always been an asset class for centuries before crypto existed. Sovereign debt. Corporate bonds. Money markets. Private credit. Every one a yield instrument. Today we're proving the model with on-chain assets. The @katana ecosystem is the current stop. Join us: app.alphayields.ai/aytokens/…

My LinkedIn timeline lately: "Dear recruiters..." "We're hiring..." (legit?? who knows 🤷‍♂️) "How to appear more professional to recruiters..." "Last week, I..." Value added though..., remains to be seen.

avKAT already earns staking yield on @katana. We added a second engine on top: a market-neutral carry, measured over 166 days, that stayed positive in 498 of its last 499 funding periods. That's $ayKAT, and it's live now: alphayields.ai/aytokens/ayka… Here's exactly what it does:

Let's get the party started 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
We're partnering with @katana to bring the AlphaYields yield layer to KAT. To get started: app.alphayields.ai/aytokens/… $ayKAT is built on avKAT, Katana's liquid staking token, not around it. Their staking primitive does what it does well. We add measured, verifiable yield on top and publish the share price for anyone to check. More on how it works today.
