I spent a weekend with @gastownhall fixing up 31 years of sellsbrothers.com. New styles and a new archive browser for posts, books, articles, podcasts and videos. My own Wayback Machine. Enjoy!

Beads is the oldest and most mature OSS memory system for agents out there. It's the foundation for all my work for the past year, and has matured tremendously with the work of the Gas City folks.
Now that everyone is finally figuring out that they need to "grow" their company brains, I see all these products coming out. You don't need products, you just need Beads. Show it to your agent today.
Beads just passed 1.5M downloads. Next up: teaching it to remember more than just issues.
Donna Box, Stephanie Jarmak and Jim Wordelman are working on versioned Memory Beads and BDP, the proposed wire protocol for Beads.
Give the preview branch a try!

In the last month, I've purchased about 600 GB of RAM and 80 CPUs for a build cluster to move builds off cloud. I'm the only user of the build cluster. It's running 24/7. It will pay for itself in a month or so. People are not prepared for the hardware shock that is coming.
network KVM devices
+ spare mini-computers
+ agents installing all the things (proxmox OS, etc)
= home lab w/o the fuss
Like @jezell, I need more compute for agentic workloads. #recommended
I'm to the part of my home automation journey that requires a label maker, e.g. to label the $7.50 gizmo that controls my blinds flawlessly and replaces the vendor-supplied $350 "gateway" that worked like shit.
I got tired of the IG-spam for Jarvis agents for $99/mo when there are so many amazing OSS projects that you can use now for free!

Btw, github.com/gastownhall/gasci… is also free and makes an excellent platform for agent orchestration of all kinds.
Are you a level 8 interested in becoming a founding engineer at a startup on the cutting edge of agentic orchestration?

Beads Team Server lets you build with your team. Available for design partners today.
Many companies are bragging about their software factories and not providing sharing the code they used to do so.
We've got you. Build your own software factory OSS beads and gas city today: gascity.com.
There's a new version of this post
Mind. Blown.
I'll tell you one thing. FlockerPad is gonna be Dart. It ain't gonna be a CodeMirror wrapper like DartPad. If you can't even build a decent code editor on your GUI framework, you should not be trusted. TreeSitter running as a plan9 device in a background process, Lapce flutter port doing the edits. The flocker device model would actually be awesome for running LSPs across platforms...
Sat down with @jcocaramos from @VGVentures to talk about software factories, why "vibe coding" isn't production software, and what's still the human's critical job when agents write the code.

It was a fun conversation; thanks to Jorge for setting it up!
Beads and Gas City continue to get better with every release.
You can now watch Maintainer City, the software factory we use to build Beads and Gas City, running at full scale.
Also new in the 1.4 release: the public pack registry (registry.gascity.com) and a completely new dashboard.
Check it out!

Edge.js running node apps with WASM inside Flocker via WASIX ✅. ft. libghostty, skia_dart, flutter, WebGPU, Plan9 rc.
Kali did some ground-breaking work figuring out how to build VSCode extensions in Dart and Flutter:
github.com/SlowGen/flutter_v…
I've extended that work to provide typed Dart API wrappers for all 2000+ VSCode APIs, the ability to write VSCode extensions in pure Dart and support for importing Dart/Flutter packages that work on the web:
github.com/SlowGen/flutter_v…
The goal was to enable anyone, including the @FlutterDev team, to build their VSCode extensions using their own amazing Dart JS interop and web platform support.
I've built two extensions as part of the PR, including one that's Dart only (a Publens extension that shows you outdated versions in pubspec.yaml) and Flutter (a test coverage treemap which renders using a graphing package imported from pub.dev).
Feedback welcome!
Jesse is doing amazing things with @FlutterDev !
Coding agents are trained on the software that we're willing to give away for free. It's an agentic engineer's job to provide the guardrails and quality metrics to produce the software that we sell for money.
The latest version of the most popular agentic task management system is here! I'm happy to announce Beads 1.1 🎉
Safe multi-clone Dolt migrations by default: smart remote migrate, self-healing, and a restore that really restores.
More to come!
