So, I opened a new bank account at Truist Bank in Florida. I took out a sum of money in the form of a cashier's check (which cost me $10) from my other bank, and brought it to Truist for the new account. The representative never said until AFTER the deposit was final that there would be an 11-day hold on the check! I thought a cashier's check was considered CASH? Now I have no access to my funds in my checking account until August 11th.
