yeah i can see that. i feel like whatever afo (and yoichi) learned about gender and gender roles growing up came from comics and little things he observed in society. i think he'd use he/him and maybe doesn't mind they/them

slightly off topic but i also want to add my hc for afo being omnisexual. i don't think it's a label he would use but it would describe his experience. i think he can be attracted to anyone regardless of gender though he's not exactly genderblind
