A migrant caravan numbering in the hundreds has crossed into Mexico and is moving north, with some travelers saying they hope to reach the United States.
DHS says Border Patrol is monitoring the group's movement with international partners and is warning migrants that anyone attempting to cross the U.S. border illegally will be apprehended, prosecuted and removed.
The caravan departed Honduras on Sept. 20 and includes migrants from several countries, including Honduras, Guatemala, El Salvador, Ecuador and Haiti.
The movement comes as illegal border crossings remain at historically low levels under the Trump administration's expanded immigration enforcement.

The first problem with DHS leadership is Secretary Markwayne Mullin @SecMullinDHS . He has been the most consistent in his messaging when he tries to restrict immigration enforcement. There's been 4 separate incidents not including the latest fiasco that Mullin has deliberately tried to slow walk Immigration enforcement.
Mullin is turning into being one of the worst cabinet secretary picks of Trump's current administration. I do not know who recommended Mullin but whoever did ought to be fired. He is not onboard with the agenda and Trump's current unwillingness to bring him to heel is part of the problem.

JACK SMITH STILL THINKS HE'S THE HERO AFTER BOTH OF HIS TRUMP CASES GOT THROWN OUT.
He sat there and claimed he had proof beyond a reasonable doubt, but somehow never got a single conviction.
What he did get was nearly 4,800 checks from regular Americans who sent Trump small donations, and nobody can explain why he needed them.
He also grabbed phone records from members of Congress and acted like that was no big deal.
One Republican senator told him to his face that he'll go down as a total dirtbag, and I can't argue with that.
This man spent years and millions of taxpayer dollars chasing Trump, and he has nothing to show for it but a hearing where he got torched.
Jack Smith failed, and Trump is sitting in the Oval Office.
