what if @Starknet decided to become an independent Layer 1 blockchain? this time, i want to talk about something that could completely change the future of the ecosystem on october 22, a community vote came to an end 93.52% of the voting power supported exploring a potential transition from L2 to L1 but why? ๐Ÿ”น greater independence from Ethereum ๐Ÿ”น more control over network security ๐Ÿ”น the ability to develop stronger protection against quantum threats more quickly important: no final decision has been made. for now, this is just a research phase personally, i find it interesting to see an ecosystem willing to rethink its own architecture to prepare for the future but one question comes to mindโ€ฆ would Starknet really be better off as an independent L1, or should it continue building on Ethereum?
The Starknet community has voted to research whether Starknet should become an independent, post-quantum L1. Starting today, a joint @StarkWareLtd ร— @StarknetFndn working group will lead the research and publish a paper in the coming months.

what if using Web3 became as easy as opening a regular app? today i want to talk about one of the most interesting features of @Starknet: account abstraction but what does it actually mean? on Starknet, every account is a smart contract, enabling features that make the user experience much simpler ๐Ÿ”น log in using passkeys and biometric authentication ๐Ÿ”น account recovery options ๐Ÿ”น gasless transactions for users, when supported ๐Ÿ”น multiple actions in a single transaction ๐Ÿ”น gaming sessions without having to constantly sign transactions what i like the most? the idea of making web3 accessible even to people who know nothing about blockchain because i believe real adoption will happen when using these technologies feels completely natural and @Starknet is already building toward that future what do you think?
Quantum computing presents a fundamental challenge to blockchain security. Starknet combines cryptographic agility with STARK-based proving to prepare for a post-quantum future. Starknet is built to adapt.
