Attack vendors offer 100% quality guarantees, 24/7 availability, free chat support, newbie-friendly docs, intuitive configuration and management dashboards, vendor ratings, align incentives via profit-sharing models, and customers only pay for visible results. Security vendors spend more on swag than on research and development and say things like "please be scared" and "no prove!! only claim" and "but we have AI!" or "public docs?? UX????" and "Gartner thinks I'm cute" and constitute a market for lemons. They also cause kernel panics on customer machines and customers must pay for additional support.
