Sadly, in the back of many brave “activists’” minds, this was expected. To save some of them from harsh utterances (Q4:148) & the hopefuls from much stress, I suggest throwing in the towel, & so repost these from when Covid prevented many from going. It may need revision, tho.

True. And they don’t “get” Q6:159 and others. But forcing ALLĀH has become normalised. eg: we begin days at Maghrib and fasts at false (astronomical) dawn; cling to moon sighting when we have calcs as close to His as is humanly possible; have Hadi, yet make Qiran Hajj; etc, etc.

Correction: that should be “have Hadi, yet make Tamattu Hajj”.

So not Sahih and could be among the narrations that attribute to the Rasūl, SalALLĀHu alaihi waSallam, something he did not say. A lie against him, and those in the isnad.

Going back to basics, we should appreciate that ALLĀH says: “wash-shu’arāoo? Yattabi’oohumul ghāwūna” before He tells us about the poets (Q26:224). The concept of demand and supply comes in - without followers, there will be no need to produce. As simple as that.
does the qasidah burdah actually contain shirk... unless i am reading a bad translation, it is very beautiful and can generally be appreciated

Our Ulama are starting to focus too much on our political system in South Africa. Put out a fatwa and move on. Every day you guys are shoving this stuff down our throats. People will vote if they want to and abstain if they want to. These constant reminders are looking more like political lobbying than Naseehah. There are other issues that need your attention.

Muslims, particularly, have an obligation to not throw their neighbours under the bus, again. Their decisions should not be informed by common narratives.
We’re voting next week. Please be mindful when you vote. Do not vote for genocide and apartheid supporters.

Would @DBNMetroPolice @eThekwiniM or @SAPoliceService please ask that the music level at Hoy Park be turned low. It began about half an hour ago and is noise-blasting those here and, probably those across the road.

I’m voting in South Africa for my ward councillor and mayor but you want my decision to be informed by the Israel-Palestine conflict? You’re delusional.

Imagine a world where people were never taught that feeding the poor, caring for orphans and giving to the needy are acts of worship. Islam made compassion a responsibility, not just a good deed.

Hey @InxPrime, Do you watch DSTV 345? I don’t think so. If you did, you would have heard that the sound volume is way above that of most channels. eg: on my remote, on Hilaal TV, +4 clicks on INX gets me to the same volume and on BBC, another +4 clicks gets me to the same volume.

The great Aalim and Wali Moulana Jalaluddin Rumi (R) is world famous for his masterpiece of Islamic Poetry – ‘Mathnavi Shareef’. Hazrat Moulana Shah Hakeem Muhammad Akhtar Sb (R) had a great connection with the Mathnavi Shareef, from his teenage years and throughout his life(1/2)

feeling unwelcome. This is not to suggest that every march is violent or that everyone who stays away shares these concerns. Nor am I claiming to represent an entire racial group. My point is straightforward: absence from a march does not automatically equal indifference,

alHamduLILLĀHi, after years of working on this, the answer to how the Hijri calendar should be made has been reached. The year 1448 is done but requires editing and marking the days of ’id, Hajj, cupping, beedh, etc. For now, receive Jumad ul-Awwal using the method described.

Beautiful speech. Now let’s hear one directed at the greedy, selfish and incompetent African leaders who have failed their own people, forcing millions to flee their countries in search of survival elsewhere. What would Tsietsi Mashinini, Steve Biko, Chris Hani and Solomon Mahlangu say if they witnessed Africans turning against one another while the very leaders responsible for their suffering continue to enjoy the privileges of power? Why is the anger directed at South Africans who are also struggling, while African leaders who have failed their own citizens are spared accountability? You cannot preach African unity while ignoring African suffering. We cannot keep blaming ordinary South Africans for questioning a crisis that political leaders across the continent have failed to address.
Dr Mbuyiseni Ndlozi delivers a heartfelt appeal to South Africans amid rising anti immigrant tensions, calling for reflection on the values of unity, compassion, and solidarity among Africans.

Let me help you understand because I see that you are trying to judge the architecture of the universe by using the logic of a village mechanic. Think of a smart phone. It is more or less like a flat piece of glass, metal, and plastic sitting in your pocket. Yet, when you make a video call, this lifeless object shoots invisible frequencies into the sky. And within a split second, you are looking at a live moving image of someone halfway across the world and hearing their voice as if they are sitting right next to you. You accept this mind bending process without question because human engineers gave it a name and sold it to you. If you took that same phone back a few centuries and tried to explain a video call, the most brilliant scholars of that era would call you crazy. They would swear it defies all known logic. Yet, when the Creator of time, space, and quantum physics designs a celestial vessel capable of bending spatial dimensions, your mind completely shuts down. You ignorantly reduce a metaphysical reality to a winged donkey. When humans build a rocket that breaks the sound barrier, you call it genius. When the Supreme Being operates outside your limited understanding of earthly biology, you laugh. That is not critical thinking. That is arrogance masking a severe lack of exposure.  Jsyk, the Buraq is not a winged donkey. It as a unique celestial creation capable of traveling at incomprehensible speeds, where its single stride reaches the horizon. If modern science accepts that light travels at mind bending speeds across the universe, then you mocking a heavenly transport system just exposes your rigid, misguided and limited mind.  Then you proceeded to mock the reduction of the prayers, calling it a negotiation. For those of us that have sense, imagine a billionaire investor sets a big target for a new startup to generate 50 million dollars in revenue. He does this to establish the ultimate standard of what the company is truly worth. A veteran advisor steps in and warns that the young team will burn out and collapse under that heavy weight. The billionaire smiles, drops the target to 5 million, but still grants them the full 50 million dollar equity. Did the advisor outsmart the billionaire? No. The original target was set to reveal the massive and immense value of the deal, and the reduction was a deliberate mechanism to show overwhelming generosity. The initial decree of 50 prayers established the true weight of what humanity owes the Creator. The encounter with Moses (peace be upon him) was the divine mechanism used to unveil His mercy to human weakness. He gave us the discount of 5 while allowing us keep the full reward of 50.  Only the believer will understand the spiritual depth of this. But even a skeptic with a functioning brain can grasp the philosophical brilliance behind it. When you mock concepts that are lightyears beyond your comprehension, you do not expose the religion. You only put your own intellectual poverty on public display. I pray the Almighty guides you.
Muhammad ascended to heaven on a winged donkey, the Buraq, to meet Allah and negotiate the number of daily prayers. Along the way, he met Moses, who advised him to ask Allah to reduce the original 50 prayers to just 5 per day. 😂

People who despise their own countries reveal a profound lack of self-pride and self-worth. This continent is cursed to be burdened by such individuals.

Can you, @CellC, explain why Data is being used rather than Midnight Data. Over the many years with you, I’ve done much downloading between midnight and 06:00 AM, without checking. Now I feel let down.

After some chatting, this: Night Data is used from 00:00 to 05:00; if a download that began before 5am continues past 5am, the entire download is deducted from Day Data. Tested another huge file this morning before 5am - it *was* deducted from Night Data. Will try FB & X soon.

“… and fatness will appear among them” Sahih al-Bukhari 3650. That makes me wary of fat people, especially ulama and others like them.

And chunky too at that - an over 500MB download.
