Michael Douglas’s memoir One Helluva Ride turned out to be one of the most memorable memoirs I’ve read in recent memory - and that’s not limited to just actors. I learned so much about Douglas, Hollywood & Cinema at large, which is why I finished this book in less than a week. I love Michael Douglas. I love his father Kirk. I’m glad Douglas took the time to share these stories - they’re meaningful. And while I have you, @Amazon is running a promotional discount the next few days, in which you can get this book for up to 50% off. It’s worth it.
Emotional speech..🎙️😢
Denzel Washington’s Oscar loss to Daniel Day-Lewis in 2013 is still something I think about. DDL was as good as it gets in Lincoln. But man…Washington is so good in Flight. I think this stretch in particular from Washington is the most humane stretch of acting of his career. Washington taps into the horror of addiction perfectly: he captures what it means to ride the roller coaster. If we redid the 2013 Oscars, I would vote for Washington over DDL.
cbssports.com/college-footba… UMiami brought back the old uniforms last week to honor 01 BCS champ team..UMiami did better back in BCS era than in Playoff era..UMiami derailed UCLA of a BCS ‘ship game in 98 and won five straight bowl games (four were BCS) from 2000-04..
PUR beat OSU in 2000, 04, 09, 2011, and 2018..✔️🏈🕋📈🔨🛤️🚂
Ohio State carries the Big Ten and gets paid like Purdue.
The Buckeyes played in 4 of the 10 most-watched regular-season games in 2024. No other Big Ten game cracked the top 10.
When the TV deal ends in 2030, Ohio State should seriously look at going independent. More money, and no conference rules capping NIL.
2000s was a great decade in CFB..Maryland won ACC in 2001 but lost to Florida State..Maryland finally beat FSU in 04..VT & UMiami joined ACC in 04..Bobby Bowden retired after 09..
22 years ago today, Marylans beat #5 Florida State 20 to 17. This victory marked Maryland's first-ever win against Florida State in program history, snapping FSU's 14–0 all-time lead in the matchup .Beyond the first win in the series, it was Maryland's first victory over a top-five opponent since 1983.
as of right now; yes..✔️✅We’ve seen this movie several times though..💯🎦🎬Packers do well in the regular season but lose to a NFC West team in the Playoffs.📊🏈
Yes, but look at the times the Braves lost as the home advantage team from 97-04..🔢📈📉⚾️🧢📣🤷♂️Braves lost in NLDS or NLCS 6 out those 8 years as the home advantage team..Those were Turner Field years..
98 15-1 Vikings, 01 13-3 Bears, 2011 15-1 Packers, and 2024 15-2 Lions didn’t make the Super Bowl and all combine for a 1-4 Playoff Record..📉🔮🏈♻️📒🔢🆚
There was a Ricky Williams that played for Texas Tech..

THROWBACK: Joe Burrow absolutely DOMINATING an Ohio State tire-pull competition in 2018.
Burrow dragged future second-round pick Pete Werner to the ground and completely overpowered him for control of the tire.
JOE BURROW IS INSANELY STRONG.
