This sent me into a mental vortex about the “Sacramental Seal” This cop was Good
Mother's vigilante justice on the predator that violated her daughter takes a wrong turn when she gets the wrong guy. A mother’s protective rage turned into a catastrophic nightmare when Brandi Snowflake Morgan decided to take the law into her own hands in an Idaho Falls parking lot. Years earlier, Morgan’s daughter had filed a police report in Madison County alleging she had been violated by a man named Peter Medina. With insufficient evidence to secure a conviction, Medina walked away without charges, leaving behind an unresolved trauma and a mother consumed by festering bitterness against a legal system she felt had failed her child. That unresolved fury exploded into violence outside a WinCo liquor store when Morgan spotted a man crossing the parking lot and convinced herself she had finally found Medina. Without hesitation, she hit the gas of her Dodge Nitro, deliberately plowing directly into the pedestrian before speeding into the night. She believed she had finally delivered retribution for her daughter. But vigilante justice is blind, reckless, and unforgiving. The man lying crumpled on the asphalt was not Peter Medina. He was Geronimo, a completely innocent local father and working-class provider who had simply stopped by the liquor store on an errand requested by his wife. The impact br0ke both of his f€€t and lower l€gs, subjecting him to reconstructive surg€ry, months away from his job, and forcing his family to build wheelchair ramps just so he could enter his own home. In her blind quest to punish an unprosecuted abuser, Morgan didn’t balance any scales. Instead, she transferred devastating trauma, physical agony, and financial hardship onto a blameless family who had nothing to do with her past, ultimately earning herself a 10 year prison sentence with the possibility of parole after 2 years.

This corner of tectonic weirdness hasn’t been worth visiting since @legalseafoods gave up on Amber Ade the cheddar jalapeño polenta The place felt like a sadder version of the short-lived Worcester Outlets This is where that scene was headed, while I was in college
Fists flew at South Shore Plaza today. A wild brawl erupted inside the Braintree mall, with men and women of all ages trading punches as the fight spilled out of a store and onto the upper floor. Bystanders screamed, filmed, and tried to pull the fighters apart. A witness, who did not want to be identified, told Mass Daily News they did not know what started the fight. South Shore Plaza has been the site of previous violence. In January 2022, a 26-year-old Boston man was shot inside a first-floor store in what police called a targeted attack, forcing a mall lockdown. Earlier this year, Braintree police mobilized in force after social media posts warned of a planned "takeover." Multiple other brawls at the plaza have ended in arrests.

The craziest part for me was being taught French instead of Portuguese
The craziest part of growing up in the northeast is finding out knowing a ton of Irish and Italians is actually not standard for the United States.

Always more boring than the unrecorded shit in my head. Saw them in Boston. All I remember was the D’Addario next to me saying “you’re the Replacements guy” when I asked who the bass player was Wilco was equally as boring at Central Park before @thesonicyouth did their thing
The second Son Volt record is more of the same but who’s to say that’s a bad thing? It sure isn’t, from the first note to the last on this it is still punchy as ever. It may not capture the aggression quite as much as Trace but that’s okay. There’s some fantastic writing here

It wasn’t till the early 90s that I finally got the “ I learned it from watching you!” Lennon had already banished any urge for heroin via Uncle John’s record collection

For years, visions of Tauntauns danced in my head as we made our way between Bristol and Braintree on 24. Weetamoo died crossing the Taunton River. That’s a bummer, though. Pretty sure one of my grandfathers considered her a friend
I can’t think of a single positive thing that’s ever come out of Taunton, Mass.

Seeing a lot of answers that make sense. Getting through Providence to Worcester or NY is the only time I’ve felt that my life could be in danger by design.
95 through Connecticut is its own layer of hell. No worse stretch of interstate in the Northeast Corridor.

The best version of ourselves would be cool with Judge Judy having a side gig with @CIA
He really tried to sell Judge Judy on the idea that a woman spontaneously gave him $2,000 to help with his mortgages. Then she finds out he had a girlfriend in Ukraine and suddenly the “gift” theory sounds a lot less innocent. Judge Judy was not buying a word of it.

Asked for a well done steak the one time I went. What I received was a temper tantrum on a plate. Within a year, they shut down

My adolescence was partially wasted pretending to like Beastie Boys RI>NY Everything I picked up about Black culture as a kid came from the URI radio station in real people in Newport PS - John Cafferty > Springsteen
Holy smokes! When Brooklyn and Los Angeles shared the same stage like it was nothing. Beastie Boys and Cypress Hill live on Arsenio ripping through “So What’cha Want,” 1992.
